HAH! I taped it ... and I didn't read the spoilers despite seeing thread topic ... :)

I was starting to cringe with all the icky goodiness ... but then I can see how if Angel thought he was going to loose his soul, this is how he thought it might happen? (or he just saw his current life pass before his eyes)

Don't worry John. I yelled too. Mostly at Cordy. I was like "You stupid woman! He'll become Angelus!" Then it was like "Damn."

I still wonder IF the monk isn't working with the Beast. I mean that whole writing on their body, seems like the beast's style.

It may be the beast's style, but there's no particular reason to think the writing on the guys body is anything more than wish fulfillment on Angel's part. After all, everything "turned out" the way Angel wanted it to - they got the info they needed without needing Angelus; Wes apologized to Angel ("That's a first" should have been the first clue), everyone got along, Cordy professed her love for him, even reconciliation with Connor. Heck, he even managed to get out the inspiring speech he couldn't pull off earlier in the episode.

I wonder if it might go this way - they may not actually get the info they need from Angelus, but what if the clues to the gaps in Angel's mind are revealed in this episode? The sword could be something implanted deep in his mind. Not sayign thats even likely, just that it's a thought I had...

Hehe, they got me too. I always read the Angel threads here (which is about as much spoilerage as I want), so between that and the previews I was expecting Angelus this ep. But as the ep. went on, and things got further and further away from looking like Angelus was showing up, I started thinking "Wow, looks like Joss got us all with false rumors and spoilers".

Then right before they showed what was really happening, I saw it all clearly, and I think I actually shouted "Oh god! Of course!"

It was a great ep. I must admit thought, aside from the galactic stupidity of Angel & Cordy risking that kind of perfect happiness (curse-breaking happiness), I was actually very much enjoying seeing everything fall into place. But then again, I really do like happy characters, so long as they still have something interesting to do (and even if Angel Investigation's members were all happy, there's a lot of evil to kill, and noone's nice every day, there's always some bit of infighting, even among happy friends). So, I dunno.. I guess I'll be alright when Connor finally stops having daddy-'tude. :)

But a great episode. :)

Great Frollicking Llamas!

During the fight between Angel and the Demon I kept waiting for the sword to break. What surprised me was Angel piked up a piece and killed the demon, at that point I started thinking it had to be a dream or hallucination of some sort. Thinking back it should have been rather obvious with how everyone ended up happy and getting along. For GOD'S SAKE COONOR GOT ALONG WITH ANGEL!

Even to the point of me telling the Television Set, "Oh, come ON. PLEASE!!! Don't tell me both of them are that STUPID!!!!"

Only a moment of true happiness will can change Angel to Angelus and sex is no guarantee as Darla proved. With the Buffy thing and what happened with Connor and Cordelia I don't think it could happen.

Woohoo! Bring on the good stuff! I watch all of those, plus I'm dying for:
- come on, where's my 24? it's been on hiatus for weeks! this is the longest second of "real time" ever!

My father told me that in the next episode preview at the end of the last new episode they said in three weeks the next new one would be on and it's been two now.

[B}- Fox, you bastards! stop holding out on me! It's January and there's only been 5 new Futuramas all year![/B]

They hate it and us for liking, that's why we're forced to wait. Plus there are only about 14 new episodes total so they have to stretch them out.

Wow. I thought that, because I was tired when I watched it, I was the only one that was fooled by that show. I don't feel so dumb anymore :)

I agree that whoever wrote that show is a genius. It had a great beginning (yay, return of Angelus), then turned disappointing (aww, no Angelus), then annoying (they find a sword and kill the big bad? wtf? isn't this just ep 12 or 13? - this is where I figured I should have known better), then insulting (Angel and Cordy aren't actually going to...good God, they both know way better then that), then the brilliantly clever ending. Awesome. Looking forward to next week.

Angel has obviously been watching old Harrison Ford movies, they're infiltrating his mind. "Wood. Why did it have to be wood." And then the pressing stones in the right order, and the big pedastel the sword was sitting on.

Wow wow wow wow. And now we get Angelus too, the best bad guy ever. David Boreanaz does crazy so well it's frightening.

About halfway through, I was thinking, maybe the spell worked, and Angelus is just screwing with them so he can get the sword and then go join his buddy the 8 foot magma demon. But no. So by the end, I was totally fooled.

Was I the only one who figured it out haf way through? I was suspicious at first, but went along with it until the way over-the-top "I really love you, Angel! Can you ever forgive me?" speech by Cordy. At that point I was sure it was a fantasy.

Good episode, though. I'm more interested in next weeks, since Angelus is so cool!
