Angel 1-29-03 (Spoilers)

John Crichton asked and stated:

Actually, the WB could have kept buffy but they didn't want it.

To my recollection, the WB did bid to retain Buffy, they just did not desire to pay the amount that UPN put forth. Thus, they wanted it, but not at the price Buffy's higher ups were desiring and UPN was willing to give. In retrospect, and in my opinion, the show was already on a downturn when UPN acquired it. Thus, while I rail against them, I think the WB did the right thing, business wise. However, you can't tell me that the endless Angel shell game ...first it's on Monday, now Sunday, now Wednesday, next FUBABDAY....what day is that ....F&%$ Up Beyond all Belief Day :D isn't because the WB does have a case of sour grapes towards Joss and company over the Buffy to UPN move. I just appareciate that they will allow crossovers again.

Just a quick question: Where did you hear about this info. I'm curious.

I like a person who asks for source. Go to the following site, it now only has Angel information, it has a link to a Buffy page. Do not, Do not, Do not, follow the URL unless you are ready to read spoilers.

Spoiled Rotten-Angel Spoilers

As for the site's accuracy, since I've been visiting, they have been incredibly accurate with what they post spoilers and information wise.

Again, following the URL will lead into Spoiler land. I know I sound like a broken record, but if I don't, I know we will get someone posting

"Thanks alot, you ruined my future Buffy/Angel watching pleasure.....

Enjoy and it's nice to see a great many individuals are excited about Eliza's return. Eliza.....mmmmm, Eliza.......(shakes head)... I'm back....:p

Heheh. :)

Thanks for the link. I wish to remain spoiler free for future eps so I'll check it out after the season. I do appreciate the warning very much, tho. :D

And as for the Angel time slot, I just haven't heard anything media-wise to indicate that they are trying to screw Joss over. It really makes no sense. Networks typically want their shows to do well. Angel has to still be making them money or they would have axed it already. I find it hard to believe that just because they didn't want to spend the moola to keep Buffy that they would take it out on a show they already have the airing rights to. Just doesn't make sense business-wise.

Honestly, I wish that the WB had gotten the rights to Firefly. I have a feeling they would have given it a better shot than Fox did. :(

And yes, Ms. Dushku is quite a vision. :)

Indeed. But I believe she's seeing some one. Besides long distance relationships rarely work out.

Btw the spoiler stuff, sounds dead on. Can't wait to see more of Angel and see how dead on it is.

No. The Faith episodes of "Angel" will now air March 5, March 12 and March 19 and someone from Buffy will be appearing on March 19 as well.

That someone is supposedly going to be Willow, at least according to whatever website I read it on (I believe SciFi Wire, but I can't remember exactly...)

I swear, I think the WB is just trying to destroy Angel just because they are still upset at Joss for taking Buffy to UPN.

I've thought this on several occasions (most notibly when they first moved it to Sunday), but I find it unlikely since rumor has it that part of UPN's deal to get Buffy supposedly included a clause guaranteeing they would pick up Angel for two seasons if the WB cancelled it. That alone will probably keep the show alive on WB for a season or two.

Is it me, or is all the time-slot shifting seems like the network is trying to find an audiance for this show...I think they want it to be profitable. Otherwise they'd just axe it, wouldn' they?

I hope it goes for a few more years, and I'd like guest appearances from the buffy crew....just for the reactions of all the changes all the characters have gone under.

Spoilers about this episode

I was thinking about the point which Angel loses his soul. He defeats, the beast, his friends made up (Gunn and Wes), and Cordy professes her love. None of that was good enough. The second he "enters" Cordy, BAM, his sould is removed. Now is it sex that removes the curse, or happiness and if it is happiness, is Joss saying men are only truely happy during sex?
