Connor needs his butt kicked big time. Well who really needs his butt kicked is whoever is writting connor. I mean theirs really no reason he should be THAT bleeping stupid.
Well I think we all figured Skip was a bad guy the first time we saw him...I mean looks can be deciving and all but face it he looks like a bad guy(he is in fact one of the few beings in the buffyverse who has in both looks and abilities actualy begun to live up to the name "demon").
The one thing I dont really like is it seems to me that this makes it less likely that the happenings on angel and those on Buffy are actualy related...unless its all another complex plot of the First's. Keeping buffy distracted in Sunnydale while doing its main business in LA.

Probably. Or maybe this is just a small part of the First itself manifesting to start a new world old. Mean time the other half of the First keeps the Slayers busy while it builds up its power base in LA.

I really DID like this ep but I still feel like a lot of you. Connor WHY!!? What do you see that in woman!?! Still trying to figure out though just why it chose Cordy? I mean if they knew about Fred, why not choose her?

As for Skip, I liked him but I was happy when he died at the end. (Guess it's true, you really can't trust a demon.)

Anyone think maybe the Powers that Be aren't exactly nice guys? Maybe they are the ones behind it all?

My guesses as to choosing Cordy: She was probably most ellegible to go to a higher plane. probably the least likely to be suspected...and the actress wants to leave the show for a while.
I dont think the Powers are behind it. best case scenario they are extremely good but not allowed to get involved much...worse case they are basicaly good or at least anti-bad...and still arent allowed to get involved much

To quote the Offspring, "[he's] just a sucker with no self-esteem." He's, what? 17, 18? And more-or-less completely unsocialized; he was raised by one crazy guy with ulterior motives, in a Hell dimension, with presumably *no other social contacts*. That Connor's a sucker for any pretty face is absolutely no surprise to me.

Plus there's the possibility that the nameless nonphysical evil entity possessing Cordy (gee, doesn't that sound like a good description of the First Evil?) is using what power it has to help dig its hooks into Connor, and keep 'em there. Check out how Connor & Angel (and almost everyone else, per the preview) are reacting to the embodied nameless evil -- obedience and awe. Mayne Connor was just getting the first taste.

I'm not sure; something sent the snowstorm in the Buffy episode "Amends". I suppose if the Powers are evil, but oppose the First (or had their own plans for Angel), then they could've been willing to interfere. Or the Powers are (relatively) good guys, but were manipulated, too, and now they've been neutralized somehow. Too close to call, at this point.

BTW, my favorite line: Skip, dismissing the idea of someone coming back from a Higher Plane, says something like, "Nobody comes back from paradise. Well, except for that Slayer that time."

Nah, sorry. The whole "Teens can be thick-headed" excuse just doesn't play anymore for me. Connor is aggravatingly moronic beyond any plausible excuse.

I want to see Connor dead and off Angel but quick. Not reformed, not apologetic, not as a villain, not as an anti-hero. Dead. Get him the hell off my show.

This isn't "Oh, the character's effective, you're supposed to dislike him" hatred. This is "He's about an inch from spoiling what is otherwise my favorite show" hatred. He's served his purpose. Now kill the berk already before he ruins the best show on TV.

But hey, that's just me. ;)

No, no it is not just you! I really hope they kill him off too, let it be some supid dumb assine way too, because that is the way he needs to go! The only time I cheer for him is when he is getting his butt kicked! :)

Kill him off? Hmmmm....

No thanks.

I don't like the character and I don't hate the character but he is interesting. His scenes with Darla were the most gripping of this episode. He is one of the last characters on the show that will give in to simple tempations because of his lack of good and proper parenting and the situation he has been put in (son of a vampire couple and raised by his father's mortal enemy).

I have complained about Connor just as much as the next guy. But he does not bring my entertainment level down when watching the show as of this latest ep. I certainly don't get a Wesley (Crusher, from TNG :p) feel from him. That character was just blech. Connor is not even close to that. He is a brat, he is confused, he is young, he has more power than he knows what to do with and he's being played for a fool. It happens, and I can't wait to see how it plays out and the aftermath. :)

EDIT: Clarifications and grammar.
