Another day in the Tavern

Kat looks first with bemusement at the woman, then startled at the disappearance, and finally slightly irritated at herself for being startled given the number of people who use such displays in their comings and goings. She stops leaning against the bar and nods to the "tavern lord."

"Don't trouble yourself, BeeGee, I'll move it to the right place."

Kat walks lightly over to the door and unpins the note. Then she moves it to the notice board on the inside wall next to the door, careful not to block the other notices, especially the one regarding the slavers.

She walks back to the bar as she mutters quietly to herself, "Trust Re'shak to get off of it so easily... and wish I had more excuse to add another to it."

The dark cloaked figure takes up the glass in a gloved hand, swirling the contents around briefly before lifting to his lips and taking a drink. He chuckles as he sets the glass down.

"Whats the matter, Kat? Dissapointed? Hoping that I would be struck down by Captain Do-right? sorry, not going to happen."

That gloved hand reaches up and pulls back the cowl, revealing the dark wicked features of a drow, a familiar one at that.

Kat nods politely to Re'shak, perhaps just a touch overly politely.

"Vendui, but 'disappointed' is too strong a word. Whatever actions brought you to Simon's attention had nothing to do with me, unlike what happened with Faeryln. I wasn't even the one to give him your name."

... but I wouldn't object to someone...

She remembers in time that Re'shak seems to read minds, and smiles slightly instead of finishing the thought.

"So what brings you to the tavern today? business? pleasure? or a desperate desire to be bored?"

The drow chuckles, wickedly

"worry not. I know who opened her mouth. she will be dealt with soon."

Lifts his glass to take a drink, and pauses, lifting a snowy brow

"It isn't polite to leave a sentance unfinished, even if It was thought, and not spoken, you know."

He smirks, completing the motion and drinking deeply from his wine glass, setting it down and looking at Kat, expectantly.

"go on"

She raises her own brow at him as she moves back to the bar and her own wineglass.

"On the contrary, thoughts are supposed to be private matters?"

She sighs, and continues a little grimly,

"Not that one can expect that around here... so since you insist, the sentence goes ... 'I wouldn't object to someone'... having the ability to deal better with you in combat than most do. Surely you must sometimes wish for more of a challenge?"

Kat sips her wine, wondering how the comment will be taken.

He grins

"You should know by now that nothing is private where I am concerned."

Re'shak recrosses his feet on the table and takes a sip from his wine glass.

"I do enjoy a challenge, and I find them often, with the other members of the house. Anyone else I fight usually cannot match my skills."

He takes another drink, looking at her, meeting her eyes

"You really wish me dead, yes?"

Kat looks back steadily at first as if to prove herself immune to his intimidation, at least to this much, but then drops her gaze and shakes her head, disgusted with herself.

"Dead? You are already dead... and I should know better than to look a vampire in the eye. How is Sorilea, by the way? Still obedient? No flares of independence? You must be getting tired of her."

She takes another drink of her wine, glancing at him over the rim but no longer directly at his face.

"But if you mean do I wish you gone for good? let's say... it would not make the tavern a less pleasant place."

Walks in, looking around wide-eyed and curious. He seats himself, amazed at his surroundings.

Big place...

Walks in looking backwords out the door, throws a flask with a lit oily rag out the door, then twists his face into a painful look.

"Sorry!" The sadistic looking elf in leather armor and covered, literally COVERED in pouches yells.

Walks to a table, sits down and motions to the bar golemn.

"I hope he didn't catch the worst of that..."

He glances over at the sadistic elf in leather armor covered in pouches, inclining his head curiously. His dark purple hair at the angle seems black. He adjusts himself in the seat, trying not to grind the spikes down the length of his back into the chair. Once situated, he studies the strange elf curiously, one of his cloven hooves tapping lightly on the wooden floor.

He thinks to himself What a strange person...might be interesting to assimilate him...
