Any female game masters?

I've only known a couple female GM's. One ran an all woman game, and they scared hell outta me. Their PCs were vicious, bloodthirsty serial killers...every one of them.

This has been my experience as well. The women that have gamed in my groups will often brutally kill an opponent with zest, zeal and with great pleasure...

I make it a point never to anger them. :heh:

I've never been in a game run by a woman. But, then again, I've only played under two DMs total because normally I'm the one who DMs. I've never had a woman express interest in trying DMing, while several male players have, but then again, I have no idea how serious any of them were since only one actually tried his hand at it for more than one session.

Yeah, I know that women kill their opponents brutally and should never be angered, but I think the question is, how are the women 'In character' when roleplaying ???

;)

I've played with several female DMs over the years. And, I've seen quite a few female DMs in the RPGA...in fact, the campaign co-ordinator for Living Death is a woman, as was the first campaign co-ordinator for Living Force.

Well, I have one of my female players now that regularly threatens to harm or kill the other party members if they don't do as she tells them. Makes for an interesting dynamic...

My wife just started running the Age of Worms adventure path and did a fantastic job as a new DM. Unfortunately, that game was put on permanent hold :(

I run games, and I guess I've seen one other gal DM. Of the other women I've played with I don't remember any of them taking up the mantle. Societally it's one of those things that will always be different, even if I ran a game exactly like a man had word for word, the players would view it differently. This means, among other things, that if a game really sucks, I get some sympathy for being a girl, and if something really awful happens to a PC, it's partly because I'm a woman (As is already evident in this thread).

I have played in games with a half dozen female players but never seen a women GM a game. I'm not opposed to a female GM and I think that nearly all of the female players I have played with would be every bit as good at it as male GMs. I hope some of them decide to give it a try because in my area there is definitely a GM shortage.
