Any good movies out?

Deja Vu just came out on Wed. Saw it last night. I'd definitely say it's worth seeing. Only other movie I've seen recently was Casino Royale, which was also good.

Friend still wants to see Borat. I don't know if that'll be any good or not though...

Borat just looks stupid.

I saw clips of his interviews with Leno, Letterman and O'Brien and I thought they were funny, but I really don't think I could watch an entire movie with him in it. If I went, it's because I want to hang out with my friends a LOT more than because I truly want to see it.

I understand. Seen many movies just because of friends. Had to cut off my friend Linda though. Was like 3 movies in a row she chose that just stunk. hehe

I think I only truly regretted doing that once: Dr. Dolittle 2. I laughed exactly two times in that movie. Had to be one of the stupidest movies I'd ever seen.

I can second Casino Royale. It was a pretty awesome movie.

If I had the opportunity, I'd go see The Fountain. I can't vouch for it, but I would go see it.

I love movies!

Movies that are currently playing that I have seen in the AMC theatre:

The Fountain: Good! Kinda trippy, interesting graphics and a good candidate to see more than once to catch interesting little bits that one misses the first time around.

The Prestige: Loved it. Batman v Wolverine, you can't lose. I adore Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. This is one of the best movies I've seen in awhile.

Stranger than Fiction: Just saw it. Liked it quite a bit, though I'm not entirely sure about the ending. Wins the award for Most Boom Showing EVER.

Movies that are in the cheap shows:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Ahh, Captain Jack. I liked the first one better, but this was still good.

The Covenant: Worth two bucks. Not really worth the full price I paid to see it when it was in the main run theatre.

The Illusionist: Not as good as The Prestige, but I still liked it.

Accepted: With the guy from the Mac commercials. Hilarious.

And finally, movies that I've seen recently that aren't playing around me anymore (I don't know if they'd still be in theatres elsewhere):

Man of the Year
Employee of the Month
One Night with the King

I think that's it.

If you like watching kids movies every once in a while, I'd reccomend Happy Feet. Great movie. Saw it with my baby nephew/godson today. He was all excited and his face lit up with glee.

Saw "Happy Feet" last weekend. Cute. Sort of a cross between "March of the Penguins" and "Moulin Rouge." Seriously. And, you see / hear Hugh Jackman channeling Elvis, Nicole Kidman channeling Marilyn Monroe, and Robin Williams channeling both Cheech Marin and Barry White...all as penguins. ;)
