I am totally hooked on this show. It's quickly becoming my favorite show on TV, even quite possibly rivaling Lost. It's one of the few shows that I look forward to.

The writing is always good and always seems to strike the right balance between telling a good story and humor. I really like the characters too. They are believable and you want to root for them. I was skeptical with the addition of their new neighbors Tony & Steve but even that has been done really well.

I don't know, I just really like this show. Andi (Missy Peregrym) doesn't hurt either. :D

I agree - the show is consistently enjoyable. I like that just when you think they are in the middle of being light-hearted, they throw in a new twist. Plus, gotta love Michael Ian Black ;)

 Has the new season started?

Season 1 went on hiatus because of the writer's strike. 3 new episodes were aired in March, and more will be aired starting April 22nd(ish)

I believe it is still in the first season. They resumed episodes after the writer's strike was over - I think they have had 3 new ones. Not sure how many they will be doing, or if they will be weekly from here on out till they are done.

Three episodes, damn I missed some, I only saw one. I took too long a break because of that damn strike and the usual winter reruns.

But yeah, the show is enjoyable. It's absurdly funny at times, and balances out the drama and action well. The devil always steals the show when he appears. It's good that he's starting to give Sam more information, I guess it makes the writing easier, and it makes sense show-wise; Sam's doing a decent job as a Reaper, so Satan's giving him more info. And the writing is often crude, but clever as well, like the time we see
Gladys has her house all decorated with little angel figures
(that got a big WTF from me, but it was a good touch).

It's certainly more entertaining than Smallville, that show is really turning into a steaming shark-jumping turd.

It used to conflict with my board gaming night, Tuesday, so I saw the series premiere, thanks to that being on a Monday. Now it's airing Thursday so I get to watch it, though this last week they didn't show it, I guess now because it was those 3 episodes mentioned higher up in the thread.

Oddly enough, they still had episodes left to be aired apparently. As I understand it, episodes filmed after the strike was settled aren't supposed to start until the 22nd.
