Anyone else been watching Miracles?

If you haven't, and you like suspenseful TV, this might be something up your alley. I've been fairly impressed by it so far. It's not anything extremely groundbreaking, but it's fun to watch.

Skeet Ulrich plays Paul Callan, an ex-Vatican investigator who lost his faith in the Church (but not necessarily in God) after a young boy miraculously sacrificed himself to save Paul after a train wreck mortally wounded him. Another ex-priest Alva Keel (Angus McFadyen), hires Paul to help him with a mystery, a looming darkness that might be coming to bring a version of the "end times". What if all of these miracles that are occurring aren't a result of God's hand, but a result of another, darker being?

The shows format appears to be epsiodic, after three episodes, with deeper details of each character still being developed. The first episode, and last nights episode definitely had a creepy suspenseful feel to them with impressive plot twists at the end of both, while the second episode had a definite twilight zone vibe to it.

Anyway, I think it is worth spending an hour a week watching it. What are your opinions of the show so far?

Please don't insult the Twilight Zone. ;)

The show has been hit and miss with me.

Last night's episode was the first time I really enjoyed an episode, but how it was resolved was a bit annoying. Where is this guy getting all this knowledge about demons? If that kind of knowledge is sitting at the tip of ones mind, then wouldn't he have a camera ready?

Other then that bit, I liked the episode. The ending was especially good. Though I wish it was on at an earlier time so I could have the full mental capacity to watch it.

The first episode was a bit on the boring side- and obvious.

The second episode was horrible. A strange thing happens- and they spent the episode exploring the results, but ignoring any talk on exploring what/why it happened. And- they rammed the knowledge of the camera being present down our throats.. it totally detroyed the ending. I felt like I was watching the X-Files.

And, that is my bottom line thought on the show.. it is the X-Files. I wish it wasn't, but I will give it a couple more tries to be better then that.

I have been watching it, I dont feel it is like the X-Files, okay, maybe the old X-Files, but definately not the new ones.

I really like it. That and the Quest show I think is kinda cool. Too bad they will probably get cancelled. Almost all shows like that do, save for a chosen few, X-Files.
