Anyone Want to Run..or play in, a GURPs game? (Or just want to be in a game?)

Well, I really liekd Gurps, but dont get to DM enough, and have never got to to be a player, so looking for some interest.

I would consider playing in almost anygame except super space age, but I would probably play in that too.

If I was going to run a game I would run it semi-realistic with 80pt characters, and it would be based on one of these topics (note, these are my favorites)

-World War I
- Japan in the late/mid 19th Century (1850-1900)
-World War II
-The Wild West
-Time Travel
-Fantasy Ala DnD style.

Ok, so you like These Idea's but don't know what gurps is or, the rules? Check this link out, it descirbes Gurps and supplies you with the basics, like an SDR if you will.

I wouldn't mind playing in such a game, but lack the books to DM it. The time periods there sound fun.

I've never played a GURPS game myself, but it looks simple enough, and I learn quickly, and I, myself, are quite partial to most of those time periods, so if this actually happens, count me in =)

Hmm, I did promise myself I wasn't going to get involved with another game. However, I do have a lot of GURPS and WW2 stuff just sitting there, looking at me.

I might just be insane enough to run a WW2 campaign if there was interest...

Currently would be looking at SOE/Commando type, post Fall of France, pre-Barbarossa so the timeline is highly mutable at that point. Definate above average characters (100+ points), allowed to be fairly exotic as everything is very improvised and up in the air at this time. There is no book to go by, you'll be writing it as you go...
