Well I got sucked into playing World of Warcraft so thats really cut into my reading time.

I finished up The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. The first book of The First Law series. I had to order it from the UK as it hasnt been published in the US yet. PYR is slated to publish it later this year. It was in many ways very typical fantasy fare, but still was a very enjoyable read with fun , if cliche characters. Full Review
I liked it well enough to order book two Before They are Hanged which was recently released from the UK.

Started in on Old Man's War by John Scalzi.

I'm just finishing up Brin's Glory Season, which is frustratingly about 175% of a really good book. I've got The Practice Effect on tap after that, and then a compilation edited by Aldiss titled Evil Earths. I'm going to try to read some Card after that: Enchantment, and Songmaster. From there, I don't know right now.

Recently read Pilate's Wife -- a so-so book overall, but I can give a good nod to most, if not all, of the historical elements.

Currently working through an odd double-header -- a re-read of Storm Constantine's Wraeththu books and finally reading the second Bartimaeus book The Golem's Eye. Having a grand time with both, but the combination sends my head in some very weird directions... ;)

I'm reading California Demon by Julie Kenner.

I just finished Lord of Snow and Shadows by Sarah Ash. It is basically a vampire dragon story set in a Russian setting with gun powder. I'm not sure I am going to ever finish this trilogy. So unless someone else has read the other 2 books and liked them, I'm stopping with this book.

Finished "A Princess of Mars" and now onto "The Gods of Mars." It's the Barnes & Noble edition, which combines the first three books of the ERB Mars Series.

When I tire of that I switch over to "Conan: The Ultimate Guide..." that DK published last Fall. Plenty of cool pictures and the history of Conan in a condensed format.

I am currently reading The Ladies of Grace Adieu (and Other Stories) by Susanna Clarke, author of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell at work during lunch.

Also, The Fifth Elephant by Terry Pratchett at home with the wife.

Ill Met in Lankhmar (the White Wolf collection from 1990-something) for sword and sorcery inspiration, and McMansion, a crappy "thriller" only because it is set in my town and the fictionl version of my father-in-law is one of the villains.

Dragons of Winter Twilight, the second Dragonlance book.

Kinda slogging through it, it just aint doin' it for me. I previously JUST finished the Game of Thrones series (up to now) and that's a tough act to follow.

I'm continuing to chip away at Quicksilver (I'm almost to the spot where I abandoned it the first time I attempted it a couple of years ago).

Meanwhile, I've also started reading a non-fiction book called Secret Societies: Inside the World's Most Notorious Organizations by John Lawrence Reynolds. It's a very "lite" intro to groups like The Assassins, the Freemasons, Skull & Bones, etc. An interesting read though not as detailed as I might like.
