APs and Tier

I'm wondering if the number of APs you can spend per tier. Specifically, can you spend 2 APs at paragon levels and 3 APs at epic levels? My players and I were under the impression that you could, but I've double checked things and can't find a mention of that. I was just wondering if someone could let us know one way or the other.

I think you may be getting them mixed up with daily magic item uses. You can use one daily magic item per tier, +1 per milestone you reach - it may be the fact that you get both a daily magic item use and an AP at a milestone that caused that confusion.

RAW, you get 1 AP use per encounter. Many people houserule otherwise, for various reasons.
