Archery vs. TWF

Do warlord powers grant attack bonuses for an entire round, or for one attack only?

Warlord ones, yes some do. Usually their daily ones. The first level power Lead the Attack grants you and all allies (within 5 squares) +1 to attack rolls until end of encounter. I assume there are higher level variants which add bigger boni.

Eh, till you miss? Solo monsters have higher AC, this is probably better for dealing with Brutes. I mean, any monster with lower defenses is going down hard, but if you miss the first attack, then what? Sure, its possible that you always hit, but so what, one monster dies, your a striker, thats kinda what you do. I see no problem. Consider that rangers still aren't as tough as Defenders, they kinda need to kill the critter fast.

Hmmm, Blade Cascade... question...

It says you alternate main and off hand weapon attacks until you miss.

For damage, you deal 2[W] + str

Is this 2[W] assuming that when you hit, both weapons hit, which is where you get the 2[W] from? Or are you making 1 attack with the main weapon, deal 2[W] from it, make the next attack with off-hand weapon, deal 2[W] with it, etc.?

The 2[W] could imply that while you are alternating weapon attacks, the successful hit means you hit with both weapons, thus you get 2[W]. Just curious how others read this, or how it is supposed to be read.

Dude, the warlord daily power from KotS grants bonuses to hit for the entire encounter: if the warlord hits with the power everyone within 5 squares gets +5 to hit the target; if he misses everyone within 5 squares gets +1 to hit the target.

That is a no doubt, use it on the first round, daily power when facing a solo monster! And because it's a bonus to hit it's probably a good power even later in the warlord's career.

You attack with your main hand weapon and do 2[W] for it, then you attack with the other and do 2[W] if you hit, then you attack with your main hand weapon... lather, rinse, repeat.

Yeah,
The "attack until you miss" thing can be gross. If the party can pump you up to only missing on a 1 and if you have some ability to reroll, you should get around 40 hits.

But getting to the point of only missing on a 1 with both weapons is darn tricky against anything powerful enough that you are trying to pull off this trick. And it will likely involve spending action points of more than one player.

And bad rolls will really kill you.

I think it's a reasonable power.
