Are your modern map needs being met?

Skeleton Key has some Dojo tiles which can be used to make a nice Dojo map.

I used them for a map in Legend of the Samuair and Blood and Fist: Master Eddition reprint.

Sounds great. Got a link or location for them?

There's one down the road from me.

Sure, I am from Iowa (rural farming state to you international folks). There are plenty of small cemetaries there. I live in Detroit now. In terms of gaming, I just can't ever see a 200x400ft cemetary as a place where I would run an adventure.

DM- The zombies start to rise up around you.

Players- On my initative I double move to my car and drive off.

I prefer...DM- It's about a 1/2 mile to your car.

Players- We pull the shovel from a nearby gravesite and start hacking.

You get the point. If you want to be a literalist then fine. I don't want a local 2 floor Holiday Inn Hotel. I want the 30 floor Sheraton in downtown Chicago. That's the locales I like to hold my game in.

They are available at RPGNow. I don't think we're allowed to give links to any commercial site these days out of deference to the ENW Game Store (just so no one misunderstands me- I don't have a problem with that policy, just explaining why no link is forthcoming). The Dojo is called Oriental Sword School and is made by Skeleton Key Games.

If I need a map for a modern campaign, I pull it off of a real-world map on the internet. Much cheaper and easier than trying to get game maps. Also, I find very little use for maps in a modern game. In general, people just follow posted signs to where they are going. There isn't really a need to wander aimlessly around a building.

I am interested.

I do a good deal of googling that could be time better spent. I have been tempted with 12 to Midnights floor plans but so far haven't needed any of them. Critical Locations is swell. All of my modern gaming is in Hudson City so neither New Glory nor Black Knight Casino work for me but they are also tempting just to have around.

Well... I'm kinda disappointed that nobody here has mentioned Modern Floorplans. We've released six locations to date, including a office tower with lobby, repeating office layout, and penthouse restaurant/bar. The next series will be called Living Spaces, with apartments, a modern house, and a Victorian mansion. And the studio (Fabled Environments) is taking requests for future releases.

Incidentally, the two most recent releases are not yet available here at ENGS, but you can see them on the 12 to Midnight website.

I actually have a few of your products... your first bundle plus one of your newer ones.

Some pretty decent maps, in actuality. That said, I prefer maps that are configurable to those that repeat the same map in color, black and white, with and without details, etc. Just seems tidier to me that way. Have you considered using some of those PDF features?

As for taking requests... part of the purpose of this thread was to dwell on that very thing.

One thing I thought would be cool to see would be a high rise condo, the sort that gets advertised in travel magazines. Seems to me like those would be good sites for safe-houses and inner city criminal activities.

I'm sure I'll think of others.
