Back Off Man... I'm A Scientist [Ghostbusters RPG]

William reaches from the back seat up to the radio console.

"We are doing this all wrong! We need some action music. I read that Peter Venkman never busts ghosts without some awesome tunes beforehand...let's see..."
William fiddles with the controls until he finds a station jamming "Come out and Play" by the Offspring. William turns it up, starts headbanging a little bit, rolls down the window and screams "You gotta keep 'em seperated!"

As he laughes at his own joke, through his giggling tears you can make out these words "he..hehe...the streams...seperated...cross the...haha!"

Dan scrunches up his face at the music. "And this, dear viewers is Willy. His specialty is ... well ... you know, it's all very technical, and we'd hate to go over your heads. He's a trooper, though, Willy is."

Elyssa chuckled and keeps a firm hand on the panic bar. Her face went white as Sara zoomed in front of a semi with only an inch to spare.

OOC: Dan Watzisnaam gains 1 Brownie Point.

Also, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you folks be willing to put your current Brownie Point total in your Title line of your posts, just so it's easier for us to all keep track of where each of you are? If you could, that'd be awesome. Thanx!

**********

Sara jerks the wheel back and forth as she swerves in and out of traffic, sending the G-Forces to higher and higher levels. For Xander, he finds this to be a thrill ride of epic proportions... sitting on the roof of a hummer goes 35 through midday NYC traffic. For the others, though... all this sudden movement makes people's stomachs start to churn.

>>
Xander please make a Muscles + Hang Onto Stuff check - TN 15. If successful, you do not need to make the following check.

Everyone please make a Muscles check TN 10 to keep your lunch down (Sara may add in Cast Iron Stomach to her roll). Dan if you fail your Muscles check, you may make a Moves + Projectile Vomiting roll to get the window down and your head outside the truck to avoid getting any on you when you let loose.

>>

Despite the rollercoaster-like effect of Sara's driving, the members of the team are able to do some hypothesizing on what their mission will entail. Yankees Stadium... a dozen ghosts in the stands... "Curse"... all these things that they are dealing with. They each begin to process in their heads what might be going on.

>>
Sara please make a Brains + Obscure Lore check.
Xander please make a Brains + Sports Knowledge check.
Dan & Elyssa please make Brains checks.

William please make a Brains + Cruise Internet check to do some research on your cellphone (adding 2 to the total for using the internet).
Gina please make a Brains check to do some research on your cellphone (adding 2 to the total for using the internet).

Elyssa Pembroke: Brownie Points 20

Well Elyssa has Brains 3: but her specialties are chinese and japanese mythology. Don't know if that helps.

IC:
Elyssa racks her brain, wondering why the ghosts are so worked up over a curse. "Why don't they get a bloody priest to lift it?" she grumbles.

Dan Watzisnaam, Brownie Points: 21

Dan finds he's lucky to have turned off the camera, as all the excitement, the nervousness about his first assignment, and--probably mostly--the crazy zigzag of the ride sets off a rumbling in Dan's stomach he knows all too well.

OOC: Just barely missed the roll: 2+4+3=9

"Out of the way!" Dan yells, his insides already starting to heave. He lurches for the window, desperate to keep the mess off his coworkers.

OOC: High roll here, but this could still get messy with all the sixes: 6+2+6+6=20

As his empty stomach manages to once again spew forth an amazing stream of contents, his mind goes somewhere else. Boring as baseball is, thinking about it is much preferable to dwelling on his current activity.

OOC: Brains check: 2+5+6=13

ooc:
Elyssa Pembrokerolls 3d6, getting [2,2,6] = (10) for curse.
Can't think of an amusing complication with this. Well here goes....

IC:
Despite everything, Elyssa can't remember a thing about the curse. As she's joggled by the wild ride, she's distracted and a stray spark of PKE hits the radio. Almost immediately, the tune switches to Richard Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen" at full blast.
