Sources at Giant Freakin Robot claim that Netflix is looking for its next big game adaptation amid theories that their series The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill, may be coming to an end sooner rather than later.

According to the report, talks of a live-action adaptation of the popular video game Baldur’s Gate 3 are being had at Netflix – with details that the streamer is in talks to acquire the rights.

The timing is likely due to Netflix taking advantage of the poor week for Hasbro knowing they can save some cash

Because there's no exclusivity between Paramount and Hasbro.
Netflix is doing the live action Magic The Gathering show, for example.

I'm a little surprised it was Netflix instead of Paramount or Amazon as well. Whatever offers the money though, I guess.

Netflix butchered the Witcher so bad Henry left. I have no faith they will make a good BG show.
