Balor DR

Moving from a "DR X/y or z" to "DR X/y" to "DR X/y and z" is quite common with fiends.

Demons
Dretch, Quasit: DR 5/cold iron or good
Babau, Succubus: DR 10/cold iron or good
Bebilith, Glabrezu, Hezrou, Nalfeshnee, Vrock: DR 10/good
Marilith: DR 10/good and cold iron
Balor: DR 15/cold iron and good
Devils
Barbazu, Imp, Kyton, Lemure: DR 5/good or silver
Bezekira, Erinyes: DR 5/good
Gelugon, Hamatula, Osyluth: DR 10/good
Cornugon: DR 10/good and silver
Pit Fiend: DR 15/good and silver

Complete by yourself for the Demodands ('leth) and Daemons ('loth).

If I am not mistaken, a Rakshasa lich should have DR 15/magic and good and piercing and bludgeoning.
But is not intended by the Monster Manual. You can roll your own, of course.

Rakshasas are outsiders, and so slapping the lich template on them is a bit iffy. Is that what you mean?

If by 'iffy' you mean 'can't be done', then yeah - the Lich template is for humanoids only.

Is there a Dracolich template in Draconomicon? If so, what can it be applied to?

I'm wondering if you could do it legally with a Half-Dragon Rakshasa Dracolich...

Hi!

Talking about difficult-to-beat DR: How about a Vampire with Stoneskin cast on him? Doesn't this creature get DR/magic and silver and adamantium? That's tough to beat...

You can get creatures with effective DR 10/- if you set things up right. However, it's only 10 or 15 points, not 50!
