It's called Adamantium in german, tho.

Yes, I know this is not a german board... no kidding! :D

Bye

Ah, of course, so logical. They couldn't use "adamantin". Those guys from Amigo should be fired. Hey, wait a minute...

Won't work except for busting through x/magic DR. It's been revised in 3.5 to beat all alignment based DR. Metalline from one of the Forgotten Realms sourcebooks can switch material types, but it only does one of them at a time so that won't work either.

If I am not mistaken, a Rakshasa lich should have DR 15/magic and good and piercing and bludgeoning.
Such a guy might be possible using the Lichfiend variant from Libris Mortis, if the Rakshasa is advanced. It would have DR 15/good* and bludgeoning plus DR 15/good and piercing, which pretty much is equal to DR 15/good and bludgeoning and piercing (though with different numbers and types, it can be important to remember it's two different DRs, of which the best applies.). Going half-dragon, then dracolich seems also to be an option - it requires the dragon type, not being a true dragon, if I recall correctly.

*Change due to the Lichfiend variant.

Very few attack forms are both piercing and bludgeoning. I think a bite natural attack is, and a morning star. But they also have to be good aligned attacks.

Anyways, beware the Rashasa lich!

More or less
You apply the better DR to any given attack, therefore a magical mace penetrates the lich DR but not the raksha DR.
Strictly the DR only becomes Good& Magic& Piercing& Bludgeoning if the DR's have the magnitude of DR.
e.g. 10/Magic and bludgeoning with 10/Good and piercing.

Hi!

Talking about difficult-to-beat DR: How about a Vampire with Stoneskin cast on him? Doesn't this creature get DR/magic and silver and adamantium? That's tough to beat...

Kodam

Cast dispel magic on the vampire
Beat the crap out of it with a good& silver weapon.

Alternatively just use a silver& good weapon, the stone skin will only last 2/3 rounds vs high level fighters, and only caps the first 10 points per attack.

Align Weapon turns out to be a very useful spell, eh?

I've put some thought into the most useful "golfer's bag" for a character, and it went something like this:

Cold Iron longsword (or bastard sword) - most creatures that have a DR x/cold iron aren't immune to criticals, so a sword's 19-20 critical comes in handy, specially if coupled with keen weapon or Improved Critical.
Adamantine Greataxe - Used mainly to chop down golems and objects, so you want a weapon with large damage (targets are usually immune to crits) and that is two-handed, so you get most out of Power Attack and Str damage.
Keen Longbow - No need for special materials here, because you'll have...
Silver arrows - Most things that are harmed by silver are things you don't want to get close to (vampires, lycanthropes...). The x3 critical is useful too.
Cold Iron Morningstar - Two types of damage, and you can apply silversheen to it if needed.

At the level you meet these weird combinations, you should not have a problem handling a measly 10/- DR, or 15/- DR at even loftier levels. If you went the route of having nobody who can Power Attack, well, it is your own fault if you do not have a few handy tricks up your sleeve for those situations.

The simplest trick is to summon fodder and have them Aid Another the strong fighter. Full Power Attack should boost damage up into the 40-50 per hit range even with a dumb MW Greatsword.
