[Banewarrens] Question, MAJOR SPOILER!

Hi everyone,

I working on one of the creatures from the Monte Cook module, Li the Phasm. Basically, he can turn into several forms (in the MM it says Shapechange as Sor 20, but only forms Diminutive to Large). So I just wanted to make sure I'm doing the new forms correctly.

Here is Li's base form,

Could someone please tell me if my conversions are correct?

Given that Li's BAB is +11/+6:

11 (BAB) + 6 (Str) - 1 (size) = 16, not 12. Li's attacks should then be:

Bite +16, 2 claws +11, 2 wings +11, tailslap +11.

Tailslap damage should be 1d8+9. 1.5 round down x 6 = 9, not 10.

SR, if I'm not mistaken, is Supernatural and not granted.
Cold Subtype, on the other hand, is.

First off - Where's Li getting the greataxe? Is he proficient in it?

Attack and damage bonuses look correct.

1) Doesn't Polymorph Other (and by extension Shapechange) grant the typical items of the acquired form if it uses equipment?

2) I thought BAB Shapechangers was the same as clerics. In other words, 2/3 of their HD. Since 2/3 of 15 is 10, why isn't Li's BAB +10/+5?

1. No. If you polymorph to a form that usually uses equipment, your equipment transforms with you to match. That means that if you wear plate armor and wield a long-sword and polymorph into a frost giant, you will be wearing giant-sized plate armor and wielding a giant-sized long-sword, not a giant-sized chain shirt and a giant-sized greataxe just because that's what's in the MM writeup. Chain shirts and axes aren't intrinsically a part of the frost giant, so the polymorph spell shouldn't give you those.
