Minsc was a ranger, not barbarian. Go for the eyes Boo!

Methink's he'll be a multi-class barbarian/ranger in this edition.

As an aside: I remember long ago writing up 3e versions of the BG2 NPCs. They mostly stuck to their iconic mixes, except I made Airie a sorcerer/cleric, Minsc a barbarian/ranger, and Mazzy was a fighter/paladin. It was in 3.0, so many of them sucked due to lack of multi-class build options, but it was a fun experiment.

I have been looking at doing something similar under 5e, but I am holding off until I get the PHB. Probably going to build them all as 4th level to get a grasp of the system and provide an interesting mix of stock NPCs.

I like the class and I've liked a lot (not all) but a lot of the 5e art so far but I'm sorry that's a pretty lame barbarian in my opinion. He doesn't have to look like Conan but come on... /sigh

I like the art. It makes a nice change from the ridiculous. I don't want to call it "real" or "realistic", but all of the 5e character art so far has been great at giving a sense of the world around it without making it extreme.

Not every barbarian needs to look like David & Peter Paul to be considered one, although I will be disappointed if Raised by the Dirtmaster isn't available as a background. :p
