Best Fantasy Mecha rules?

LoneWolf23

First Post
I have both Bastion Press' Doom Striders and White Wolf's DragonMech, as well as Guardians of Order's Mecha D20.. Which do you folks feel would be the best mecha rules to use in a D&D campaign like Eberron?

...And if this thread belongs in another forum, mods, please feel free to move it.

Thank you.

I have Doom Striders. I'm reading through it slowly and so far i think its really great. I haven't seen the other books though, sorry man. :)

Just curious. How do you use mecha in your fantasy? I'm interested in the types of games people play with mecha. I like 'em, but they don't fit my current setting at all. 'Cept maybe the occasional golem body armor. Hmm.

Actually I am right there with you RW, right now Mecha wouldn't really fit easily into my campaign.

However, once I start my multi-genre, transdimensional everything & the kitchen sink campaign they will fit in just fine. ;)

I think its more of a personal thing for each game, as with every rule or book ever used. But maybe you can just have them as a living construct bioskeleton carapace. And the like, I haven't read any of them, but I'd go with sword and sorcery cause they always have anime-ish art of girls with huge thighs!

Well in the Legends of Gea setting, they are mostly relics from the Usurper War (ahhh...the obligatory setting war, i love them so!). They were created by humans too late to save themselves, but there are remnants of these monstrosities scattered around the battle sites of the world. Some governments are trying to ressurect the knowledge of these awesome weapons now that humans are retaking the world.
