Was there ever a mountebank class? I think Gary Gygax talked about it, but can't remember if that was in a blog, a Dragon/Dungeon editorial, Judges' Guild, or something else.

The Time Lord class was pretty fun, too, but I think that came from Different Worlds.

There was a Time Lord class (by Mr. Pulsipher) in Dragon #65, but I'm not sure if it's the one you're thinking about.

It was mentioned in two different editorials (#65 and #103), but there was no version in Dragon. One showed up in Adventures Dark & Deep, though.
