Edit* although, I am a bit surprised the next two went to GoT characters.
I'm not - GoT is perhaps the best representation of D&D on screen I've ever seen*, largely due to its often-very-D&D-like characters.

* - with the Jackson LotR/Hobbit movies second and nothing else really close at all.

I think that depends how you play.

Conan the Destroyer meets Monty Python and the Holy Grail is much more like our games.

But I agree that it's not surprising to see GoT scoring highly - if you want an on screen example, it helps if it's something the person you are talking to has actually seen.

Pretty much the same here, with a healthy dose of Xena thrown in.

And when the campiness gets toned down in our games there's a fair bit of resemblance. Very few true heroes, lots of shades-of-gray alignments, lots of conflicting agendas, etc.

Honestly, I think that's the biggest driver of votes, and why the more recent shows are almost always doing better than the characters from older movies.
