When the group has rested, the group again forms up and approaches the tower. A quick search finds it empty, cold, and dead. While looking around, the party does find a note however, pinned to the door with an arrow.

[sblock=Note]You've only just left an hour ago but Cale and I have decided we're not going to die in this tower. I've set traps in the woods to slow them down and we're going to slip off into the forest, take the fight to them or at least find what we're up against so when you all return I can report.

I left this note in case I don't make it back in person to give you the report. Probably just means Cale and I are having too much fun destroying the dead to come back.

Head towards the mountains, we'll try to save some for you.

Visibly frustrated, Fredrock exclaims, Damn fools! What good can the 2 of them do alone against these dead. Quickly, let's get any useful supplies left in the tower then head out. It's late, I know, and they've been away from the small protection of this tower for days now, but perhaps they still survive...perhaps

"I can understand the sentiment," says Scarmiglione after glancing at the note. "One feels the need to be doing something. Sit quietly in such a place for long enough and one's own thoughts begin to be oppressive... Well, let us see whether there's anything useful to be had." He takes a brief tour of the tower with an air of distaste, then begins searching around more carefully, avoiding areas that look especially bloody or dirty.

This is a bad tiding... Liva-chan and Cale-san might be in danger...let us do as you suggest Fredrock-san and hurry on our way. He says, rushing through the tower, looking for supplies.

The group searches the tower, finding it in largely the same state as they left it except all the lights have long since gone out, the door was left open and the wind blew some things around, and a few of the supplies that were stockpiled in the tower have been taken - enough for a couple people for maybe a week.

Eithal looks around to see if there are any crossbows and quarrels lying around. Turning to the Militia men, she urges them to look to, "Y'all see'f yew c'n fahnd ayny crossbows 'roud heyah. Thows speahs ah'nt gonna dew from a deyistunce."
