Beyond the Rerisen Tower(DM Iron Sky, Judge: renau1g)

Although alerted to the presence of the beings shadowing the party, Toeto is still more concerned with escaping the fog. The unnatural cold may be more dangerous than any enemy if they do not escape soon. She stares at the ground as she walks, trying to discern the way upward by the soil composition.

Having done what he could to help dispel the icy fog, Salgyn then reaches into his saddle bags for a few herbs and unguents to mix a warming concoction that he administers to the militia and party members who seem particularly affected by the cold.

Scarmiglione, perhaps in an effort to distract himself from the reality of the cold, unwelcoming forest, walks along humming softly to himself. This attracts a curious look or two from the others, so the kenku begins singing the song that he was humming, his voice uncannily sweet, like that of a little girl (although with a perfection in pitch that few little girls could manage). The words at first seem to have a sinister character, but both the song and the little-girl voice prove to be so ridiculous that the grimness of the woods almost melts away:

"See them over there
See them moving down the road
Their arms held out ahead
And their eyes, their eyes are closed

Don't make any noise
Cry out loud, or stamp your feet
You'll wake the girls and boys
Who are walking in their sleep...
"

OOC: Bluff check 1d20+15=26. Using Bluff for entertainment, because, well, it's the skill I got from having the Entertainer background.

The group has reached the base of the mountains only to find the cold mists are thicker and the forested hills end at sheer cliffs at the base of the mountains. Everyone has caught sight of suspicious movement behind them - rustling in the brush, glowing eyes in the fog - but not a sight of a single animal except the occasional red-eyed raven.

Now the group just needs to find some way up the cliffs.

"Whayell, Mah mamma awlways sayed, 'Hunih. Loves lahk a Rinossarus: Blahnd, hayedstrowng, an' if'n it cayan't fahnd a way, it'll mayke won.' "

With that, Eithal straps a rope to her waist and begins climbing. Every now and then, she stops to hammer a piton into the wall and connect the line.
OOC: Athletics: 1d20+11+2(Climber's Kit, forgot to add this to the IC roll)= 33 Nat 20!

Citation: BTW I lifted the line above from the MTG card "Crash of Rhino's", though I don't think they own the quote, because, my wife's grandmother (born in 1909) had a similar phrase that she said her mother taught her.

Thoughts of anything but getting thru this mist are nothing but a distant murmur now. All that remains now is the determination to get thru this ordeal

Toeto continues searching for an end to the fog.

OOC: Same comment as Kaz. No -2 for this because my last use of perception was 2 rounds ago, yes?
