Black Spine, Red Blood: A Dark Sun 3.5 Campaign

No mechanical questions, just one small RP question: how exactly does a brute end up as not merely an Earth cleric, but one with the Meek of the Earth domain (insects not being noted either for individual strength nor savagery)? I'm not saying it's implausible, just wondering what your explanation is.
Fair enough.

Full background will depend on the rest of the group, but his general history is that of a exploited, abused slave/labourer from a small village who escaped, wandered out into the desert and, while dying of exposure in the rocky wastes, had the delirious epiphany that led to him becoming a cleric (and cast his first spell - an endure elements that saved his life)

He's had to reconcile the hard-bitten, callous personality that he developed as self-defense during his servitude with the nurturing, steady influence of Earth. This has made him protective and community-minded, but prone to extremes of violence in the defense of those close to him. The two domains represent these two sides of his personality.

Edited the character sheet to include the bonus Talented feat.

Working on character concepts and trying to figure out what the group had already. . .

Cleric (Human)
Wizard (???)
Brute (half-giant)
Gladiator/Rogue (mul)
Druid or Ranger (pterran) - Tailspinner

Is that about right?

Here's my character. I'm still thinking up a good name for him, I haven't yet typed up his background, and I'm still figuring out what equipment he'll have, but this should give you a fair idea of where I'm heading.

A couple of things worth noting:
1) I'm using the swatter as my character's primary weapon. This is an exotic weapon taken from p 34 of the Dark Sun 3 PDF file taken from Athas.org.
2) Since Half-Giants are large, I've scaled up his weapons and armour according to the rules laid out in the 3.5 SRD. Annoyingly, the Athas.org weapon list also doesn't include Large stats for the weapons, so I've had to do the scaling for the swatter as well. If someone feels like checking over the weapon stats just to be sure I've not made any mistakes, I'd be grateful.

Seeing as how why have now both an Earth Cleric and a Pterran Druid (or Ranger), the chances of the Wizard being thwacked very hard by his own team is causing me to reconsider and lean more towards Psion.

However I only posses the 3e Psion rules...

so if Paxus can help me out a little with the Mindscape combat rules, I'll be happy to whip up a damage dealing mental monster...

By the way I lean toward either Elf or Dwarf at this time.

I was leaning psion or psi-warrior, just haven't decided on race yet. 'Course that doesn't mean we can't have two.

Briefly, instead of combat modes, you get a bonus feat at 1st level and every four levels, starting at 4th. Feats that affect psionic combat are changed, but everything else is as normal.

Okay I'll have to work a little more closely with you on the character.

What may the 'bonus feats' be spent on? I presume Psionic Feats only...
