Bonus Feats/Epic Feats Question

If my character was multi-classed and took a level in a class (or prestige class for that matter) and the new class level would give a bonus feat and on top of that the character's total class level is 21 (or more), does the bonus feat have to be a non-epic feat or can the character use that bonus feat for an epic-caliber feat?

If the class you are leveling-up in is also epic then any bonus feats you get as class abilities can be chosen from the epic feat list.

I the class you are leveling in ISN'T epic, then any bonus feats gained in that class has to be chosen from the regular list.

Any feats gained because your total character levels warrants a bonus feat... and you are 21st or over is aloud to be chosen from the epic list.
