Nope!!!

Nope!!!

Don't need a "DM's Toolkit" to create memorable villains. I can do that on my own. And if'n its anything like the sealed section of Dragon #300, I don't need that kind of vileness in my game.

Not interested. If I need that much Evil (TM) in my game, there are plenty of real-world sources. The entire project stinks of a marketing-ploy (as earlier stated), and it's unfortunate that Mr. Cook and WotC think we need such a resource. As lamented in Tracy Hickman's rant about the book, TSR/WotC have fought for thirty years to throw off the stigma of bad press related to the game. This book could threaten all of that work. Anyway...

The main reason I want to buy it is for the stats on the arch-devils and demon princes. Im sure there is good stuff in there, but thats the main reason I want it.

Yup.

I sure will buy it, and like most who have responded here mostly for the baddies stats. But who knows what else may be in it for me to use, hopefully much more.

"marketing ploy" "unneccesary" "trivial" :p :p :p :p :p :p

man, i gotta get a job doing brain surgery like the rest of these folks. me, when i PLAY d+d i get the feeling ALL the info is "trivial" and considering the other things to do it is all probably "unneccesary" and being as how many published books are free.....

Definitely not, for the same reasons as the others not buying it, except for the financial issues. I can afford it, but see absolutely no need for the book whatsoever, others may, and that is fine for their games. Nice marketing ploy they have, it will be the only 3E WotC hardcover I am not buying, although I also don't plan on buying d20 Modern, either. I do, however, look forward to other releases from Monte Cook.

Don't know.

I tend not to judge a book by its hype. When it's released, I've read a few opinions and reviews, then I'll see whether it's worth buying.

I certainly don't intend to buy it (or not buy it) on 'principle' because of the 'nature' of the content.

Yep, I've already got it preordered. I feel the same way as Darkness and Talath, I want the Arch-Devils and Demon Princes which IMO should have been in the MM or MM II but maybe that's just me.

As of right now, no I will not buy it. From what I have read, there are only a few pieces that would really be key. I will read reviews and comments from those who did buy it which could lead me to changing my mind.

The Good vs. Evil debate is probably WAY over developed for the product. If the book provides details to help shade the baddies and make them more real and fearsome, great (this is what I think it is), if the book is a graphic depiction of evil acts then I will pass (I HIGHLY DOUBT this is what the product will be).
