Boston ENworld Game Day–Mission Accomplished

People I know didn't get the directions yet:

You can send them to me at chris7476 at yahoo dot com.

I'm semi-familiar with Mefuh. I used to live in Watertown and my cousin lives in Mefuh now. I usually go Rt 2 to the Alewife Parkway but you probably have a better route.

How is parking at your place? I know it can be tight on some streets.

I can also bring some folding chairs if necessary - let me know.

The setting: Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY. One of the top three largest malls in the Northeast and one of the top ten largest malls in the United States.

Britteny the Hooters Waitress (Norm) - Former cheerleader, now drama major.

I'll go for Britteny - sounds fun!!

We're in the Ball Square area (near Soundbites and Kelly's Diner). There are a fair amount of public parking spaces available. More importantly, we're far enough away from stuff that we don't usually have to worry about parking police giving out tickets if you have to park in a resident sticker area.

I'll know tomorrow for sure, but it looks like I might be able to get ahold of a motherload of folding chairs from one of my weekly players this evening, in which case everyone can arrive chair free!

Well, I don't know if this helps anyone or not, but here's a little information about getting around Boston.

I'm taking the train, but from my understanding the bus terminal is in the same place, near the Red Line stop of South Station. Schedules can be found online at the MBTA website, previously linked in this thread.

If, like me, you're staying at the Amerisuite in Medford, you're going to get off one stop north on the Red Line, Downtown Crossing, at get on the Orange Line heading north (outbound). Get off at the Wellington Station stop. If you want to walk, you can follow the T north to 5th Street, and the turn left and go straight until you hit Riverside Ave. (which should be right in front of you). It looks like a bit of a walk, maybe 20 minutes, to get to the hotel. If you are lazy, like me, you can catch the 134 bus, which goes right down Riverside Ave. Get off around I-93, and you'll be close.

I'll be in Boston Thursday night and all day Friday, any ideas of what I should see?

Well.. I'll recommend visiting Quincy Market and Cambridge. Nice places to visit.

The New England Aquarium is quite nice. They've got an IMAX. $15.50 admission.

Pkitty says there is good food at Faneuil Hall. I haven't confirmed this yet.

If you like art and history, you'll love the Museum of Fine Arts. $15 admission

If you like science, you'll love the Museum of Science. $13 admission.

If you like old boats, check out the USS Constitution. Free

Plus, there is always the Freedom Trail. That'll take you to several historic landmarks and give you a good exercise.

The T will get you to all these places and should be marked at the stations, I believe (after all, the city WANTS you to visit and spend money at them).

When did the Aquarium get an IMAX? I'm pretty certain the Museum of Science has one too.
