Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

Eanos, human monk

Rae ArdGaoth said:
"Aletheia, you seemed to deal well with the children in Dawn, perhaps you should do the talking."

Eanos nods. "I agree."

[sblock=OOC]Eanos has a nice +11 Sense Motive. He's built to catch liars, though not to be one himself. So I figure Aletheia does the talking, and hopefully Eanos can pick up on the truth out of Graven.[/sblock]

(OOC: Ah yes, they make the perfect tag team--one Lawful or he can't take more levels in his class, the other Chaotic by the dogma of her goddess)

'Didn't I already say that I would do it but I need backup?' Aletheia wonders when Quarion makes his redundant point.

"Very well then. If Aletheia is ready to speak with Graven, then I am ready to go to him."

OOC: Sorry, must've misread/missed your post, RA. Let's get this show on the road. "You show up at Graven's mansion and are greeted at the door by..." =D

ooc: you where waiting for me :)
You travel back through the forest to the town of Dawn. From there you make your way back to Orossus and then to Graven's mansion.
As you arrive at Graven's mansion you are awaited at the (open) gate by Dunbar. He greets you in a hurried way "Welcome back. We heared of your arrival. Lord Graven is expecting you. Please follow me, this way."
He starts walking to the mansion. "Lord Graven is waiting for you in his study. I will lead you horses to stable while you join him. The door is open."
After you arrive at the front door of the mansion, Dunbar takes your horses to the stables, on the right of the mansion.

Odno, male human psion 2, pp 7/9

Odno feels uneasy with the knowledge that Graven might command devils or demons, and that he could be less than happy knowing that they not only have the amulet, alo have no inention to recover it. He concentrates on his inner powers, looking for insight, then follows the others as they are led by the servant.

ooc: Manifesting precognition and synesthete, sharing them with his psicrystal. Odno's Spot check is now +16, and the psicrystal's +11

*Aletheia follows Dunbar to Graven, not taking the time to remove her armour or the morningstar at her hip (she'll probably need them anyway!). Once they reach the Lord, she explains, truthfully (in a sense).*

"My Lord, we journeyed to the town of Dawn and searched deep within the forest. There we fought horrid beasts and hellspawned monsters to reach the hidden shrine. But with the shrine's inner sanctum, containing the piece of the fabled amulet, just before us, we were unable to proceed. It seems that we require the other half of the amulet to continue. But worry not, for we shall find the other half for you as well, and in so doing, we will be able to return to the shrine and complete our mission. That said, we are lacking intelligence as to the location of the other half--you were able to uncover the first half; do you have any tomes or lore that could help us determine the location of the other half? Or if it has already been uncovered by another art lover, we might be able to borrow it and use it."

Eanos remains silent near Aletheia's shoulder, concentrating instead on reading the Lord's reaction to his companion's tale.

[sblock=OOC]Sense Motive +11[/sblock]

(OOC: Tale? It's actually all true--it depends on how you think of 'continue' and 'proceed', not physically in space but rather on an objective-based sense.)

Quarion's face is expressionless as he listens to Aletheia. He thinks, Most tactful. I am impressed.

[sblock=OOC: ]B4cchus mentioned an upcoming XP award that never came. Was it forgotten, or intentionally delayed?[/sblock]
