Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

"So these druids fought the demons by...consorting with devils! How atrocious!" Aletheia quivers with barely restrained fury, her desire to destroy the imp barely checked by the fact that she currently is unable to do so effectively.

The imp snickers at Quarion's reaction "Go away? So soon? Make up your mind druid, you summoned me, remember.."
At Aletheia words it turnbs it little head and growls at her "Watch that tone or i might decide not to be as nice as i ought to be."
Then it turns it's attention back to Quarion "So, druid, i assume you will be wanting me to open this passage here for you? Or do you have other desires i might fullfill." It speaks with a playfull yet sinister grin.

Eanos puts up a calming hand.

"Let's not be hasty. While it hasn't worked quite as we expected, it does seem our strategy had the proper result: our new friend here says he can open the passage." The monk looks to Quarion. "And since you were the one to make the sacrifice, it appears you're also the one who has to do the requesting."

At least, the monk thinks to himself, studying the small creature, that's what he hopes is the case.

[sblock=OOC]Sense Motive on the imp? Eanos has a +11[/sblock]

"A sect of devilish druids sound bizarre and far fetched, but that would indeed put some sense on the events so far" says Odno.

The imp seems filled with some twisted inner joy "Ohhh yes, i can open it for you. But the real question is, what can you do for me? Wouldn't that be fair? I open this for you and you do something for me? I do say it would be fair! Now what do you offer in return, hmmm?"

"I'd advice caution, fiend. You may have noticed that my companions have an acute and bitter distrust of evil outsiders, and they may ponder in your disadvantage if the solution to a minor obstacle s worth the pain and hassle of a prolongued interaction with you. I suggest you open the way, if that is indeed within your power (which I'm not sure at all)." says Odno.

[SBLOCK=Telepathy]"I know you can hear this, Hellspawn," Aletheia projects her thoughts telepathically, "Best do what he says. By the way you remain in this physical plane, you appear to be gated rather than summoned. So if we kill you now, you will be destroyed forever. You already had your sacrifice through treachery, now do as we command or perish to the painful sizzling burn of silver against your flesh."[/SBLOCK]

"Mordik, would you like to show this loathesome creature your shiny new silver blade?"

Eanos cocks his head to the side, quite honestly looking puzzled. "I could swear we just made a blood sacrifice on your behalf, and set you loose. Sounds like we've already done something for you. Maybe I'm just not schooled properly in devil's ettiquette, but 'slit something's throat' doesn't strike me as the kind of thing you balance out with a simple 'thank you.'"

The little creature gives a vicious sneer at Aletheia "Watch it mortal, don't push me. It is to be seen if you are able to vanquish me. Besides, i believe you have a portal to be opened"
Then it turns it's attention to Eanos "You spilled blood and therefore i am here. That doesn't mean i wan't something of you in return for small favour. Now what will it be, then. My presence here is not everlasting you know."

"Oh please. I know all your weaknesses intimately. Mordik here could kill you in a single stroke with his silver sword if he so chose," Aletheia's hatred for the creature remains readily apparent from her tone, far from her general kind and friendly demeanour towards, well just about everybody else, "Why don't you open the doorway? You know you want to open it anyway or you wouldn't make an offer. You're trying to win on both sides of the agreement, by gaining a boon for a task that secretly aids you. Oh, I know how your kind work."

(OOC: Yeah, she hates Lawful Evil outsiders a lot. Can you blame her?)
