Eanos frowns.

"Looks like there are more options than we thought," he says as he studies the fresco.

He turns to the others. "Anyone have insights into the direction we should choose? I'm inclined to say the decorated door, but perhaps I'm distracted by shiny things," he says. "In case we have to come back here in a hurry, perhaps Mordik should check them all for traps now? This seems like a good place to lose a pursuit, assuming we won't trip a lethal trap in the course of it."

Mordik will check the doors carefully. He will also take his time looking over the fresco to see if there is anything hidden in/on/around it.

With a nod Mordik gets to work, Checkin' em. At the fresco: ...and checkin this, nice-lookin don't mean it aint got some subtleties.

Shall i roll search checks or does Mordik "really" take his time by taking 20?

OOC: What RA says. take 20 on doors definitely. and 20 on the fresco just because it's out of place from what we've seen so far.

Mordik patiently studies the doors and the fresco.
The doors seme untrapped and unlocked. There is a simple mechanism set in what could be regarded as the doorframe which releases a lever that keeps a door closed.

The Fresco is also untrapped but not entirely featureless. Some of the lines of the fresco seem to run deeper in the wall. Following these lines, a strangely shaped doorway can be made out bu there is no appearant way to open it.

"Hmmm, absolutely no way to open it? Do you think this is one of those oh-so-cliche 'complete the four challenges in the side door to open the way to the end' setup?"

Yer guess is as good as mine. I'm not seein' a way to open it. I put my vote to check the two doorways closest to the fresco first. Mordik points left and right and back again, I dunna care right or left, just checking these first makes sense tah me.

"You are wise in the ways of devices and their workings, my friend. I say let's follow your advice," Aletheia nods, calmed down now after their run-in with the imp, "I...I hope there aren't any more of those devils around. I apologise in advance if we encounter another and I get a bit agitated, but I feel so powerless to fight them without a silver weapon I can use, and devils...I...well, I just can't stand the stench of their rigid soul-numbing brand of evil."

Mordik shrugs, Evil or good.. - just gotta be wary when they're trying to sell ya somethin. Especially somethin you need...for so cheap...hmm.

Mordik takes a quick glance at the room and thinks, He musta wanted us in here to offer the opening so cheaply... 50g is nothing for an adventuring party...

Mordik nods at Eanos, Well, let's go through one of these doors... Mordik looks at both doors, shrugs and heads to open the left. He looks at the party with an unspoken question: Ready?
