While non d20 has a huge potential of games, it also has in practice been very very few threads playing non d20 game. So, unless there is an upsweel of non d20 games I doubt there will be a problem.

Beyond those three, I think it would be best to use genre, not setting or system name (maybe except very big ones), so I'd propose:

I'm not to keen on that idea... If I'm looking for a champions game I surely don't want to have to weed through a 1000 M&M games for one.

Also, if you can get to it, could you set up categories for Living Enworld as well?

Let me think on this... I agree with you on both accounts but I'm not sure if it should be treated so generically as "non-d20" some of those games are quite good. (Wonders if he'll even make it off the thread before someone throws a tomato at him.)

It is not about good game or bad game; it is about usefulness. Also, these are d20 boards so a single label to indicate not d20 is what is used elsewhere.

Right so why... *pulling to from random* should games based upon the hero system be labeled the same as the system for Paranoia? It’s not all that useful, in my humble opinion at least. Maybe we should do them by system?

Yeah I know, and it leaves me disappointed in its vagueness.

Obviously I can only speak for myself, but I think I tend to look at genre first, system second, that's why I suggested it this way (I guess I can agree with Crothian that I mostly expect d20 games here, though). Ideally, threads could have multiple categories, but since that is not the case, we need to choose one.

At this point in time I've filled half of the Talking the Talk categories so for right now I don't see a need for genres only.

As for non-D20 I think I’m going to go with system based.

Example:
Hero System, runs Champions, Hero, Star Hero, and a few others.

So give me any non-D20 categories you want.
