D&D 5E Can characters that have drunk a Potion of Giant Strength hit successfully a magic weapons only - vulnerable monster?

Hi everybody,
quite a strange question: pretty much what the title says - if a character drinks a potion of hill giant strength, or a similar potion, can he successfully hit a "magic weapons only vulnerable" monster with an unarmed attack, a fist, or a kick?
I don't think so, anyway....

To make this totally clear, here comes the third: NO.

If one of the players gets an idea that he will pour out the magic liquid on some rags and then wrap them around his fists, I would allow few hits in just for creative thinking.
