Can Dextyr Keep All These Strikers Alive? (DM: JoeNotCharles, Ozymandias79 Judging)

[sblock=OOC]
Oops! I forgot half the Mal Malenkirk rules, which is that you post the monster stats so that people can tell whether their own attacks hit or miss.

Just got in, and too tired to look everything up right now, but:

Warforged Hunter = Warforged Soldier (MM)
Rotting Hound = Rot Hound (OG)
Fell Taint = Fell Taint Lasher (MM2)

With that you should be able to double-check your actions to see the results and see if they still make sense.

[sblock=JNC:]Don't mean to sound like a smartalec (wel, OK, yeah I do;)), but I figured that out already. If it's any consolation, though, I felt guilty for looking it up:blush: [/sblock]

Well I wasn't sure to what degree you were using the Mal Malerkirk rules.
I am playing in a LEB game right now where the DM is using the Mal Malerkirk rules, but NOT posting the Defenses and hit points of the bad guys. He is just using the "freeposting" initiative really. So I wasn't sure if you were doing something similar or not.

OG = Open Grave. I know I use the free-form Initiative method, but not posting HP/defenses. I am going to test it out in Fire & Ice and will see how I like it relative to how I currently do things and go from there.

[sblock=OOC:]All,
Joe's revelation allows us to see the battlefield a little more clearly.

The Fell Taints deal more damage than the dogs, so deal with them first.

The dogs are minions, and they're colocated with the Fell Taints, so area attacks (if anyone has one left) should could be effective.

The warforged (by my calculation) is down to about 31 HP, but he has no ranged weapons. Don't let him flank you or get you next to an RH or FT. He gets a +1 to hit.

Status
Jelly E12 = (0 damage)
dog E12 = (0 damage)

Jelly H14 = (0 damage)
dog H14 = (0 damage)

Warforged = (24 damage (17 [Tristan] + 21[Blade] - 14 [if he spends Warforged Resolve]))

A couple of things to note:

1. Blade attacked a dead Fell Taint
2. Tonk attacked a dead dog

(I've been known to make mistakes, so doublecheck me:blush:)

Blade will switch to the other Fell Taint if his original target is dead

[sblock=OOC]Just doublechecking HMG's assessment. Here's what I see happened:

Tristan gets over to the warforged, first attack hits for 17, 2nd misses.
Mikara kills the fell taint in D13.
Dextyr hits and kills the dogs at F13 and G14, and hits the fell taint at G15 for 8 and pushes it to J12.
Blade hits the fell taint in E12 for 7, then hits the warforged for 21.

Tonk's actions are a little less clear.
His original 1st target is now in J12, but if he does attack it, it's dead. Or he could kill the dog in H14.
If he moves 1 square farther and uses King's Castle on the only non-minion enemy left near Dextyr - which would be the fell taint in H14 - he does 19 damage, 1 point short of killing it.

IF that all is what Joe decides actually happened, then we probably have:
Status
Jelly E12 = (7 damage)
dog E12 = (0 damage)
Jelly H14 = (19 damage, bloodied)
dog H14 = (0 damage)
Warforged = (38 damage, bloodied, possible 14 temp hp)
