Can Dextyr Keep All These Strikers Alive? (DM: JoeNotCharles, Ozymandias79 Judging)

Blade looks at the scene unfolding around him and knows that the situation is dire, he focuses on the Wraith in front of him. He feels Maros' hand guiding his axe as it falls onto the undead creature and as the weapon strikes true, Blade feels as if some small aspect of the god of battle has entered him. He is faster, stronger, and more agile. The deva smiles wickedly, "Yes, this shall prove my worth to Maros". He then points his hand at the wraith calling out "Maros will not suffer you're undeath any longer!" as the wraith feels the divine energy of Maros wash over it, but the creature resists the effect.

[sblock=OOC - Tactics]
Blade can't get his OoE on the Mad Wraith, nor the necromancer, so maybe Tristan and I can take out the Wraith this round?

Dextyr, if you have a blast/burst power try and fry those Wisp Wraiths

Dextyr takes a step back towards Tonk and looks back toward his fallen comrade.
"Get up Punch Brother, for the fight is not over yet." Dextyr calls to Tonk, his words laced with restoritive magic.

He then looks over towards the group of undead and shouts "Begone you abominations, for we shall send you to the grave once more". This time Dextyrs words are filled with a thunderous roar, which tears appart the spirtis and blasts back the necromancer. The turmoil of the thunderous shout also gives Tristan the opportunity to better position himself.

I guess you're living up to your name, without that last blast we'd be in trouble!
Awesome job Dan! Hey, I just realized that we have 3 Canucks here, you, L.S., and I....interesting.

[sblock=Stealth]
Attacking automatically cancels stealth, so as soon as Mikara attacked she became visible. If you attack and then take a move action afterwards you can try to stealth again at -5, but unless I vastly misread something, your last action was an attack, so you ended the round visible.

EDIT: uh, no. I forgot, you can only take stealth against enemies that can't see you (total concealment, IIRC). So once the specter becomes aware of you, you can't stealth again until you can find a place to hide. So technically I think your second stealth roll shouldn't have been allowed: standing up would have made him aware of you, and then he should have had an OA when you used Twin Strike.

Make that 4 Canucks!

As Dextyr's thunder obliterates the wispy wraiths, the necromancer cackles, "Fools! The dead cannot die!" He raises his staff and one of the wraiths begins coalescing from the shadows near his head.

[sblock=OOC]
As an immediate reaction, the necromancer uses Reanimate to resurrect the nearest Wisp Wraith.

Thanks Ren, I got some help from IC with the rolls.
Now all you strikes need to lay on the hurt and we should do just fine.
Regarding the Canadian content, at first I didn't hink much of it, as I have seen a few others out there, but it is odd to have 3 on one adventrue I suppose

Yep. Found that out myself, but not before you posted

BTW. What is a Canuck? Sounds Canadian.

With Dextyr's blast finishing off the mad, whispering wraith, Tristan turns to assault another wraith with Blade. His sword slices through the wraith, leaving a few glittering silvery leaves floating to the ground from the contact point.

Turning his head to the necromancer he calls, "You're the fool for thinking we'll be such easy prey. My sword will take your head soon, I promise you!"

Grinning, he slips through the bushes to his side, leaving an opening for Tonk and his mace to make an impression on the wraith.
[sblock=Actions]Minor: OoE on Wraith @ H16
Standard: Bond of Pursuit vs. Wraith: 1d20+8+2=17, 1d20+8+2=13, 1d12+5=13, hit for 6 damage after insubstantial. If the wraith doesn't end its next turn adjacent to me, I can shift 5 squares as a free action, and must end the shift closer to the target.
Move: shift to H15. That leaves I15 open for Tonk to come in for a flank :)[/sblock]
[sblock=Tactics]If we can get this wraith down this turn as well that would be great. After the wraith I think we should try to get the necromancer - he's obviously the leader, and with him gone things should get easier (especially if he can keep resurrecting minions). Easier for Tristan than Blade or Tonk, I suppose :)[/sblock]

Tonk's eyes snap open.

In slow motion, he springs to his feet and draws a shuriken. (Move: Stand; Minor: Draw Weapon) At the same time, he waves at Dextyr and shouts, "Thhhhhhhaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnk yyyyoooooooouuuuuuu!"

He flings his blade at the Necromancer. It slowly tumbles end-over-end through the trees. (Standard: Disheartening Attack - v. AC (1d20+7-2=22, 1d6+4=6). Looks like a hit. The necromancer has a -2 to attack rolls until Tonk's EONT.)

Tonk gains 5 temporary HP for being bloodied.

[sblock=Mikara]
You used your AP last turn, so you can only do 6 damage. You can only use one AP per encounter (besides, unless I miscounted, you don't have any left.)
[/sblock]

[sblock=Blade]
Good news! Abjure Undead does half damage on a miss. Also pulls one square, which you can't do since you're already adjacent.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Tristan,Dextyr]
You can't hit the Wraith with Bond of Pursuit since Dextyr shifted you to J16 and you're no longer adjacent. I'll just assume you refused the move.
[/sblock]

The necromancer cries, "Focus on the wounded one!" Obediantly the specter turns its back on Mikara and glides down towards Tonk. Tonk feels a deathly chill as it passes right through him, and suddenly whirls. It's cloaklike shadow seems to explode outward in a barrage of dark ribbons, hurling Tonk and Dextyr to the ground. The wraith is only a moment behind, gliding swiftly through the night too fast for Blade to strike, leaving him pursing a few steps behind. It also passes over Tonk, the trail of its shadow barely touching his prone form, and whirls to strike. Tonk feels his limbs becoming weak as he loses consciousness again.

The mage cackles, "Good! Now the other fallen one!" The reanimated wisp wraith floats through the air towards Dextyr, steadily picking up speed until it rushes through the air above him, right where his head would have been if he were standing. Its master shakes his head sadly.

"Do I need to do everything myself?" The necromancer steps to the corner of the woods and raises his staff, sighting through the trees to try for a good glimpse of Dextyr. At last he gives up and curses, and instead jerks his staff into the air, firing a bolt of dark energy at Mikara, outlined on top of the outcrop. The bolt expands into bands of dark lightning which crackle around her, sapping her strength as she moves.

[sblock=Status]
Mikara shifts to L8 and hits the specter once with Twin Strike for 6.

Blade puts his oath on the Wraith, moves to G17 and hits it with Aspect of Might for 10. Then he uses an AP to miss it with Abjure Undead, but it still does 8 radiant damage on a miss (13 after Vulnerable 5 radiant; reduced to 6 by insubstantial. Did I apply those in the right order?) Radiant damage cancels its regeneration for next turn, and it's bloodied.

Dextyr moves to H13 and uses Majestic Word on Tonk, healing him for 10 and sliding him to G13. Then he uses Shout of Triumph to kill all the Wisp Wraiths and the Mad Wraith, and hit the Necromancer for 7 and push him to N19. The Necromancer uses Reanimation to resurrect Wisp Wraith 2.

Tristan puts his oath on the Wraith and hits it with Bond of Pursuit for 6, then shifts to H15.

Tonk stands, draws his dagger, and throws it at the Necromancer, hitting for 6 and disheartening him. He gains 5 thp for being bloodied.

IC is down, see Online Dice Roller for the following rolls:

The Specter moves to G14 (phasing through Tonk) and uses Spectral Barrage. Tristan, Dextyr and Tonk are at -2 to all defenses due to its Spectral Chill aura, and Dextyr and Tonk are hit for 9 psychic damage and knocked prone.

The Wraith uses Shadow Glide to shift to G12 (also phasing through Tonk) and attacks him with Spectral Touch, hitting for 11 necrotic damage. Tonk is dying again, and also weakened (save ends). Blade gets to shift 5.

At this point I broke the chat room by typing a sentence without hitting /, but IC came back up:

The Wisp Wraith charges to I13 and attacks Dextyr: Shadow Caress at Dextyr (targets Reflex, +1 for charge, +2 for prone, -2 to defenses from Spectral Chill) (1d20+4+1+2=11) Miss.

The Necromancer's Horrific Visage does not recharge (2 on 1d6) but Reanimation does (6 on 1d6) - these were in the chat room. He moves to M18 and attacks Mikara with Grave Bolt: Grave Bolt at Mikara (targets Reflex) (1d20+6=21, 1d6+4=7) Forgot the -2, but it hit anyway for 7 necrotic damage (bloodying her), and Mikara is immobilized (save ends).

Your turn.

Mikara at L8 (11/24 hp, immobilized (save ends))
Blade at G17 (29/29 hp, OoE on Wraith, +5 to Athletics, +2 to speed, +2 to damage with melee attacks)
Dextyr at I14 (19/28 hp, prone)
Tristan at I15 (22/28 hp, OoE on Wraith, Bond of Pursuit on Wraith)
Tonk at G13 (-5/24 hp thp, prone, weakened (save ends), dying)

Specter at J9 (24/30 hp, used Spectral Barrage)
Wraith at H16 (9/31 hp, used Shadow Glide)
Wisp Wraith 2 at K15 (1/1 hp)
Necromancer at K16 (41/54 hp, -2 to hit until end of Tonk's turn, used Horrific Visage)
Mad Wraith at J16 (-2/38 hp, -2 to attack rolls until end of Tonk's next turn, no aura until end of its next turn, used Touch of Chaos)
Wisp Wraith 1 at I16 (-2/1 hp)
Wisp Wraith 3 at J14 (-2/1 hp)
Wisp Wraith 4 at K14 (-2/1 hp)

What the hell, that's the old map! Grr. No time to fix it, sorry.

Just noticed that Tonk and Dextyr should have gotten OA's against the Specter or Wraith as they passed. Only one per turn, you choose - don't forget by the time the wraith passes you're prone so there's a penalty.
