Rogues are proficient with daggers of "any type." A kukri is described as a "heavy, curved dagger." So, can a rogue use it, or does "any type" only refer to a normal dagger and a punching dagger?

Since rogues are proficient in any type of dagger, does this include kukris (curved daggers)?
No, a kukri is an exotic weapon.
If not, why does it say any type of dagger when there is only 2 weapons with
dagger as part of the name (dagger, punching dagger)?
It's a mistake.
