Can spells such as fire shield be boosted?

Hi,

This is probably an old and done with question but I didn't find a definite answere to it. Maybe someone here can shed some light on it.

Fire shieldis a buff that deals dammage to anyone who hits me, 2d6 + int or something. My question is if this dammage roll is special in some way or if my normal implement, feat and racial fire bonuses get to add to it. The difference is ofcourse huge in the span of +7 vs +27.

I also read somewhere that summoned monsters had their dammage affected by my bonuses. Is this true?

Thank you,
J

If a power has the Implement keyword and a damage roll, regardless of when the damage roll happens you always get your bonuses (barring any roll specifically noted as "Extra Damage.") Ditto attack rolls for summons and etc.

5. With a power like Explosive Pyre do I add my implement bonus to extra damage rolled when and enemy enters a square adjacent to the target?
Yes, each time you for roll damage with an implement power you add your enhancement bonus

Thank you,
I guess that makes flaming sphere a pretty awesome spell then, with automatic 1d4+27 to all ajacent plus an attack for simlar amount on one target. :)

Thanks again.

Pay attention to keywords tho.

If you're a tiefling wizard with a staff of ruin+5, you only add Hellfire Blood bonuses if the power has the Fire keyword. And you can only add your staff's bonuses if the power has the Implement keyword.
