Canada VS USA

Well, Canada could have really decided the game this period... about 4-5 safe and clear shots were missed, or caught by pure luck.

Luck?

Lemmu's (SP?) shot was off Richter stick in Canada's power play or it was a goal. The Slow motion shots show it clearly.

Nice job Richter.

Great game to both teams. This is what the Olympics are all about.

Bah! It isn't luck (except for the miss by Lemieux), but skill. Go USA! :)

On the other hand, iIt really feels wierd cheering against some of my favorite players, just because they are from Canada. As an Avs fan, I don't like cheering against Sakic, and it is really hard to cheer for Modano or Hull as well. Anyway, great game so far.

Well, in these moments, a good (or great) goalie might narrow down the chances, but the chance is still big enough that a player of their class should make the goal in ~75% of the cases.
Richter is great, but shots from close to the goal, at an almost empty goal, that hit the goalie's stick is just bad luck.

It is skill that let's Richter bring up the stick in time, but it is bad luck that let's the player hit it, from 2 ft. away.
