Yup...news item just around Christmas....her grandfather (Barron Hilton) announced he was going to will something like 99% of his fortune to charity.

I wouldn't count on that. She's undoubtedly made some money from things like The Simple Life and making ads, but she *spends* money like crazy.

I could see her winding up like Michael Jackson -- unwilling to change her extravagant lifestyle, but having little in the way of income coming in.

What most people miss is that she owns several clothing, jewelry and perfume lines that apparently net several tens of millions a year. Way she spends money it might not be enough but last I saw she was independently worth >250mil US.

Britney's the train wreck du jour, but I have to say I wouldn't be surprised if something truly tragic happened to her -- she just seems that out of control and unbalanced.

Losing 2 kids to Social Services isn't tragic enough? Or do you mean a death in the family?

To put it bluntly: yeah. She seems to have some serious issues, and I'm not at all sure that she's getting effective help. I hate to say this, but if I were to read on CNN.com tomorrow that Britney did herself in, I wouldn't be surprised.

It may be cruel but thats what she deserves for all that teasing, especially since she knows it's illegal for us to view any Vanessa Hudgen-esque embarrassing photos of her.


But now that I think of it... I'd trade off Miley Cyrus becoming a train wreck for Dakota Fanning becoming one any day of the week just to prevent her from becoming one of those actors who takes themselves (and their craft) too seriously .
