The word oxymoron comes to mind. After further review, it is not an oxymoron, because charge and CE do, in fact, contradict each other. Combat Expertise can only be used with an attack action or a full attack action. A charge is a special full-round action that allows you to attack during the action, but the attack is neither part of an attack action nor a full attack action. If Pakin chooses to charge, he may not do so cautiously.
