CG vs. LE

Quasqueton

First Post
A really weird concept struck me this morning, prompted by reading about the upcoming Dukes of Hazzard movie. Thinking back on the TV show, I now realize that it was all about Chaotic Good vs. Lawful Evil.

Chaotic Good - the Dukes.

Lawful Evil - Boss Hogg and Sheriff Coletrain.

I'm now trying to think of other TV shows that are so clearly one alignment versus another.

Was Boss Hogg actually lawful?

Was Boss Hogg really Evil?

Yes, I'm serious. Did he actually ever kill or enslave anyone? Sheriff Lobo from BJ and the Bear, on the other hand, before they reformed him so he could have his own TV show, was forcing girls into prostitution so he'd probably qualify as Evil but what's the most Evil Boss Hogg ever did?

Most shows don't fit well into the alignment dynamic but I can think of a few:

The Simple Life: CN vs. LN
Rumpole of the Bailey: NG vs. LN
Law and Order: SVU: LG vs. CE
Buffy - Season 1: NG vs. NE
Buffy - Season 2: NG vs. CE
Buffy - Season 3: NG vs. LE
Buffy - Season 4: NG vs. LE
Buffy - Season 5: NG vs. CE
Buffy - Season 6: NG vs. CN
Buffy - Season 7: NG vs. NE
Firefly: CG vs. LE
The Surreal Life: CG vs. Corey Feldman

Keifer Sutherland's character is LE

The Bad Guys are actually Chaotic Neutral

I don't agree, i think he's LN, he take extreme mesure for his country okay, that make him obvioustly not good, but he did many good action when he could, he still have good heart and i'm sure he have bad feeling about his evil action.

This doesn't matter if this evil or good to him, all for the country. This more LN according to me, but alignment perception is so different for everybody. But i think we both agree that he Lawful with a big L.

In my opinion the vilain are obviously CE in all the series, no real allegiance, only slaughter and killing in mind.
