For fun I thought I would post a challenge for anyone who digs such things. Its not a straight-up challenge because there are some wacky requirements (to hopefully make it fun). Here goes:
12th level Character Challenge
Paranoid Parker plays a paranoid Human Archer (named Seth the Suspicious). Despite almost never getting hit he is always looking for ways to maximize his AC, and as a result his attack bonus has been horrible. The DM has given him a free redo to re-create Seth with any combination of classes (as long as they dont incur Experience Point negatives) but he must remain Human and he must use his starting ability scores (which he can then add his level bonuses to).
Parker rolled 4d6 (re-rolling 1s) 7 times:
17
15
14
14
13
12
7
The DM told Parker if he used the 7 he could raise his 17 to an 18 before the game started (at level 3). Parker was too paranoid about having such a handicap that he dropped the 7. Since this is a rebuild, you can choose to start with the 18 by keeping the 7 (but the DM ruled it cannot be placed in Charisma, which Seth has shown to be at least average so far, but any other stat can be the result of a recent debilitating accident).
Additionally, the DM has ruled that he must keep at least 5 ranks in any skill that he has used noticably in the campaign which makes these skills mandatory 5 pointers:
Escape Artist
Listen
Sense Motive
Spot
Finally, since Parker has made such a big deal out of using this feat every combat, he must be rebuilt with Dodge. Additionally his marquee item, Portable Hole, must be factored in for his wealth by level (which is otherwise as a 12th level character). The DM allows the following books in his homebrew campaign:
The Core 3 (PHB, MM, DMG)
PHB II
All Complete Books (Including Complete Psionic)
All Environment Books (Stormwrack, Sandstorm, Frostburn)
The Expanded Psionics Handbook
The Book of 9 Swords
The winning build will be the one with the highest combined Ranged Attack Bonus and Armor Class. Good luck and Have Fun! (and if this is the wrong forum, I hope it gets moved fast!)
