Character Theme Songs...

All my characters get an actor and themesong, on the extremely rare occasions I get to play instead of GM. Its a habit from MUXing, where most +finger screens have space for them built-in. My D&D Campaign, though, has a themesong we all agree on. Weird Al's Everything You Know Is Wrong. :)

Edit: Forgot I was going to bring that up when I saw the post below me. ;)

YES! We need a Law & Order channel. Darn it!

You're not alone... If someone marked down the time of my posts, they'd see a bunch of "dead zones" that correspond to programming schedule for NBC, TNT and USA. Except Criminal Intent. I don't like that show... Too much focus on just one cop; lost my interest early.
Amen to that... so long as the stupid NBA isn't screwing up my night, I lose a good 3 hours between 7 and 10 to the glorious bliss that is Law and Order on TNT...

hehehehehe...

And, back on topic... (sort of)

Our game also loves to cast the "movie" that is our world...

In fact, my paladin is played by a beefed up Elisabeth Rohm from Law and Order... give her a magical bastard sword, a bitchin' breast plate, and a +2 pistol--you've got my character. (what a sad addiction...)

Hmmmm, wed on't use a whole lot of music during our sessions now a days, but the game I run has a few theme song, so to speak:

In our current campaign one player plays a pirate who was shipwrecked on a monastary, and so was forced to study as a monk until he escaped, and he is now the most lawless monk you can imagine, with an amazing drinking habit. The entire campiagn is very nautical, with pirates everywhere, and the themesong for that PC (and maybe even ths campaign itself) would have to be Cruel Mistress by Flogging Molly (or maybe Salty Dog, by the same band)

In the previous campiagn we had a bard (played by the same player) who was a gypsy who was working to free the rest of his gypsy group who had been taken captive. He was kind of like Robin Hood, but even more chaotic and a little more neutral. He still stole from the rich to give to he poor, but he took a generous cut for himself. His themesong was a song, I can't remember the name, but it had a chorus "I don't mind stealing bread" and I think the band was Dog Temple, or something like that... I'm pretty sure it had dog somewhere in it...

My current Rogue/Cleric doesn't really have a theme song... But if I had to choose off the top of my head, I guess it's "Devil's Dance Floor" by Flogging Molly.

I had a Call of Chuthulhu character named "Bumpkin", her theme song was "Everything In It's Own Time" by The Indigo Girls.

Then there was my V:TM character "Rowan", her theme song was "Wash My Hands" by the Young Dubliners.

I was also in a Marvel Superheros game where my character "Shade" was a masked Pro Wrestler, her theme song was Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl".

I had an Elven Cleric/Mage with a theme song of "Losing My Religion", after he changed faiths in the middle of the campaign.

In a d20 Rokugan game, I had a Dragonfly Clan Void Disciple with "The Great Beyond" as his theme song (the DM insisted his theme song should be "Bohemian Rhapsody" though, because of how mauled the Dragonfly clan is though).

That would be "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog. A very good song for a Robin Hood-type character. "I don't mind stealin' bread/from the mouths of decadence."

If I had a character theme song for my male fighter/rogue, I would pick "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" by Tomoyasu Hotei from the "Kill Bill - Vol. 1" soundtrack. Just because it casts a cool vibe.

For my female bard/sorceress, it would be "Santiago" or "Marco Polo" by Loreena McKennitt.

For my femme fatale, seductress-type character in our T20 campaign, it would be "Hella Good" by No Doubt.

I have a feeling that our Saturday night Savage group would have either "The Adams Family" or 'The Munsters" theme for their theme song.

For a while there, one of our players should have had the theme song "Another One Bites the Dust" for the number of characters he had die.

And I'm a L&O nut too. Knda makes me wish we still got cable. Then I'd have Angel and L&O on TNT every night.

Yes... yes, it is...

But, as long as I still have McCoy, I can go on.

NO! Not LENNY! :( That's terrible - who's going to do the wisecrack at the begining of the show now?
