This thread is for planning purposes only. A separate thread will be created for player sign-up closer to Gameday. A link to that thread will be posted here.

The time has come to start planning the next Chicago Gameday, our 14th. Learn more about Chicago Gameday.
The Date
Gameday XIV will be held on June 17th.

As usual, the peerless Games Plus in Mt. Prospect will be our host.
The Events
If you would like to volunteer to run an event, please post your event proposal in this thread and indicate when you would like to run it. Gameday has a morning slot from 9:30am to 2:30pm, and an afternoon slot from 4:00pm to 9:00pm (and beyond). We try to run 6-8 events in each slot, with 4-6 players plus GM in each event. GMs may request more/fewer seats in their event.

Also, if you do not have an ENWorld Community Supporter account with Private Messaging enabled, please make sure I have your email address. You can contact me at buzz[at]buzzmo[dot]com.

Once the sign-up thread begins, GM volunteers have until one week before Gameday to remove their event from the schedule. After that point, the scehdule is set in stone, and you come to Gameday prepared to run your event, regardless of whether anyone has signed up for it.

Pre-approval of player sign-ups is not allowed. By volunteering to run an event, you're agreeing to run it for whomever signs up.
Current event lineup

Prizes
Gameday features a prize giveaway between the morning and afternoon slots. If you have a connection to a game company or other organization and can obtain prize donations, please let us know so that efforts are not duplicated. Otherwise, all prize solicitations from publishers are handled by myself. GMs and attendees are also welcome to donate prizes from their own collections.
Suggestions
If you have suggestions, reccomendations, or ideas for enhancing the fun of Gameday, please feel free to post them here and we'll open up discussion.

I have event descriptions from everyone over on the Gameday blog, except for JoeGKushner's, Reidzilla's, and kenobi65's. If those GMs could please post event titles and descriptions, I would appreciate it.

Once I have that info, we should be able to start taking sign-ups next week, giving us just about one month to Gameday.

Don't know if this will help you out at all, but I'm reposting my game description:

The King’s Wedding Day…or should I say DEADDING DAY!!! (Is that McBain-y enough for you?)
A D&D 3.5 Adventure
TracerBullet42

The rescue of the Queen-to-be went smashingly well and now our group of heroes must escort her back to her loving King for their big day. They gather up their gear, with party mascot “The Fern” included, and begin the trek back to the kingdom. When you’ve got a princess, a king’s bodyguard, a savage northwoman, a royal woodsman, a mystical healer, and a master chef…what could possibly go wrong?

This adventure is suited for 6 players (no experience necessary) and picks up right where last gameday’s “The Runaway Bride” game left off. It is not necessary for you to have participated in the previous game. Newcomers welcome. Characters will be provided and a few simple house rules will be taught.

I believe I mentioned "The Fern"...

And I'm trying to forget about my poor, poor bunny assassain.

Poor little guy never saw it coming.

So with the message on the front page of EnWorld, sounds like we're going to lose these posts, too. Yippee for computer suckage!

buzz, here's mine.

Legends of the Shining Jewel, module LSJ-01, "Merchants"

Amthydor. The Jewel of the Realm. A city recovering from crisis. With the near civil war and the plague of undead that have swept the city, Amthydor's manpower is at an all time low. A series of bandit raids have raised concern among the merchants of Amthydor. Is it just a coincidence, or are more sinister forces involved? Only the bravest adventurers will find out!

This is a D&D 3.5 game. Pregenerated 1st-level characters will be provided, as will a set of the campaign documents. Alternately, if players want to create their own LSJ characters and bring them to the game, they may do so by downloading the campaign documents from the LSJ web site, and creating a 1st level character according to the campaign rules.

Legends of the Shining Jewel is an independent D20 campaign (v3.5 compatible). Players create new characters and can advance them by playing in official LSJ tournaments offered at conventions around the country and the world.

Thanks, you old jedi, you.

How many seats (i.e., potential players) do you want for the event? The usual number of spots is six, though you can specify more or less.

Sorry...bare minimum is 3, absolute maximum is 6. Six would be preferred, too.
