Choosing Cleric Spells: Help me Hivemind!!!

I ve been playing an Evangelist (Sorcerer version of a Cleric from Dragon 311 maybe?) for a couple of months, and I ve just gotten to 3 rd level.

Evangelists get the same number of spells per day as a sorcerer, but add the spells from their domains (Trickery and Luck) to spells known. At 5 th level I ll get another domain, and plan to take Travel (I wanna fly!).

I know Command and CLW right now, but I m trying to decide what other spells I should pick over the next few levels.

Since my spell selection is so limited, I was wondering what the Hive Mind thought were the MOST essential cleric spells for me to choose?

FYI my feats are Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot, so I generally support the fighter types from a distance with my crossbow.

Do they only know spells from the cleric list? With those feats you can take advantage of ray spells. There are some great ones on the Wizard list, not so many of on the cleric list though.
 

Take magic stone and buy a sling. Good for undead, especially since evangelists have no turning powers.

Beyond that, the best 2nd level spells are align weapon (useful at all levels) and lesser restoration. Good 3rd level spells are more common- there's bestow and remove curse, dispel magic, prayer, searing light and speak with dead. Of course, the cures are still very important, especially since there's no spontaneous casting for evangelists.

yeah, just cleric spells (and domains) unfortunately...


demiurge, thanks for the good suggestions. Dispel Magic was one the list already, but I ll have to remember Lesser Restoration and Searing Light.

I really want Spiritual Weapon as a Second and think that i should really get one of the Protection From spells as a first too...

I kinda want Magic Weapon as a First, but it seems like a waste if I m getting GReater Magic Weapon as a Third.

Any thoughts?

Not having seen the envangilist class it is difficult to help out.
