City Survivor - And the Winner is...

Yeah, because anyone who disagrees with you on the Internet must have a bias against the blindingly obvious Truth that is your opinion.

Many said thousand reasons why they didn't like Lady or Planescape... the names that poster said was obviously not a criticism, not even the generaly accepted truth. It was clearly bad intent.

No, it clearly was a quickie opinion.

"Bad intent?" Are you under the mistaken notion that message board posts are akin to court testimony?

And there is no "generally accepted truth" in the realm of opinions.

Ya know, Whiz, for someone who sure hates Planescape, you fit right in to some degree...the whole concept is about Truth, rather how you perceive reality. But, hey, if you want to work within the realms of the Clueless (i.e. Prime worlds) and such, just ignore the spell planeshift in the PHB. ;)

...Anywho, definitely twiggin' Condordance's victory! Woot!! :D

Finding The Next Topic

Hi all -
I'm sorry to hear that Sigil won out overall, esp. since it was so close to losing with a tie between it and Greyhawk so often.
The issue I have is that I missed almost every other Topic. I voted in issue 9 and I think it was 10 between Greyhawk and Sigil, which Greyhawk obviously got voted off. But the follow up one between Freeport and Sigil was missed.
So what I'd like to see on the top of each thread and voting time is when the particular topic is set to expire and the next one to start, that way I can keep an eye out for it. Esp. since I don't troll the message boards too much (expect to vote in stupid polls), which can be noticed by my total post number being as low as it is.
Thanks and I'd like to see a d20 City thing, maybe a vote for this city to be in the next City Survivor series - let the audience choose who should be part of the listing.
Be Well. Be Well Played.

Yay Sigil! Yay Lady of Pain! (But not too much -- don't want her thinking you worship her!) Yay DM fiat!
Perhaps the next Survivor should be about "Your Favorite Non-Rules Maneuver."

Options:
DM Fiat
Bribe the DM - Buy the Pizza
Passing Secret Notes
Conspiracy While One Player is Out of the Room/Gone for the Night
Start the game ON TIME to punish the Perennially Late Person
DM rolls the dice behind the screen
Cat plays with the d20
Write snarky comments on other player's character sheet while they're not paying attention
Kick everyone out of your house so you can watch Heroes on TV ;)
--what else?

\I voted for Sigil. First time my pick has ever won. Do I get a prize?

I don't hate Planescape. If you guys could be a little less hostile, it'd be appreciated.

Ah, wrong choice of words; my bad. Hostile? Eh, what berk doesn't defend his kip--I mean, who doesn't protect his home?? Interesting how many rallied under the banner of Concordance...we may be a small (global sense here, for the dictomaniacs out there :p ), but we have a strong sense of loyalty. Perhaps, it's the adventure, concept, or company of PS--more likely, all three.

However, Whiz, to the point; don't worry. No one's standing outside your door, waiting to drop the Lady's shadow (howbeit, more likely an anvil shaped to imitate Her shadow). We just happen to enjoy the game environment, which you publicly addressed as, in your opinion, rather detestable--does that make us belligerent to voice contrary opinions?

Maybe the question is why would be passionately attempt to uphold Planescape's honor, while many passively bid adieu to the Lady's dominion?

I think a significant number of people voted incorrectly in the last poll, thereby invalidating it.

So what you're saying is that only the Freeport-lovers were ... unattentive ... enough to vote the wrong way?

I don't believe that for a second.

If anything, I suspect Freeport got more votes than it should have, because I find it just as likely that some Planescape fans voted the wrong way, and there were way more people voting for Planescape.

A new poll would just crush Freeport even more.
