Cleric/wizard spontaneously dropping arcane spells for cures?

Can a cleric/wizard drop wizard spells to spontaneously cast cure spells?

The Glossary isn't in the SRD, but it's on the Wizards site.

[glossary]spontaneous casting[/glossary]
The special ability of a cleric to drop a prepared spell (but not a domain spell) to gain a cure or inflict spell of the same level or lower, or of a druid to drop a prepared spell to gain a summon nature's ally spell of the same level or lower. Since the substitution of spells occurs on the spur of the moment, clerics need not prepare their cure or inflict spells in advance, nor do druids need to prepare their summon nature's ally spells in advance.

You can use [glossary]spontaneous casting[/glossary] tags to provide a link, like the above.

Sounds to me it was meant for (1) Druids, (2) evil Clerics, (3) neutral Clerics who channel negative energy, (4) Paladins, (5) Rangers and (6) some PrCl with its own spellcasting eventually.

But I don't have CDiv so I cannot check the feat.

Spontaneous Healer has the prereqs of having 4 ranks of Knowledge (religion), the ability to cast a cure spell, and a nonevil alignment. So sadly, evil clerics are left out in the rain. Poor evil clerics. They shoul'dve been neutral instead! SUCKERS!

Oh, good catch. But Neutral Clerics of evil deities are okay.

Although Wizards can use the feat too -- along with the feat mentioned in #23.

Hasn't there always been this stigma against wizards learning how to cast Cure spells? I've brought up a number of possible loopholes around my gaming circles, and each one gets overturned. It's the one crutch of arcane magic.

Arcane Disciple is the feat from Complete Divine that allows an arcane caster to take a domain. (Forgive me if I'm repeating earlier posts). Even then they can only cast one spell a day from each of the domain spell levels. But they would be able to use wands since it puts the spell on the class list...

Arcane Disciple doesnt give them the domain list, it gives them the ability to learn that domains spells as though they were arcane, IIRC. Thats a pretty big distinction, because it means, once they learn Cure Serious Wounds, they can fill their 3rd level slots with it.

Yeah, that's a big complaint about the feats in the CD.

On my Necromancer, I used the feat to take the Destruction domain, as much for the inflict spells, as anything.

Of course, I have a tomb-tainted soul. Call me evil!

Yes, it's been there since the beginning of D&D. The single most significant difference between wizards and clerics has been that only clerics can casting healing magic. If wizards can have access to healing spells, why can't clerics have access to fireballs and whatnot?

And then, what is really the difference between the classes at all? There would essentially just be one class: "Spellcaster." Which may or may not be a bad thing, depending on you point of view.
