Clerics rule in NWN

I beat NWN the other night (yes, I'm slow, I know). But the way I did it was pretty funny.

My character is a Clr15/Sor1 (so I can cast all the arcane scrolls I find). At the end, I was facing off against Morag, and I cast a Destruction spell at her. She failed her Fort save by rolling a 1 and DIED!

It was hilarious.

It occurs to me that, yes - Harm is VERY broken. I kill dragons in two rounds by first harming them, and then whacking them. I dealt 370 points of damage to Klauth with a Harm spell.

An 11th level cleric with two Harm spells would have absolutely no difficulty in defeating the two dragons at the end of the game.

A Wail of the Banshee or other spell that kills with a failed save would have made the same with Morag.

And Harm is broken. But you'd still have some Problems with those two Dragons: You need to get past their SR and you need to hit them afterwards - Before you run away in fear or are killed by the bastards.
 

Eh, the cheapest thing is saving the game, and then Harming them until you get through SR. **SMACK!!!**

And have any of you realized how good Good is, my Cleric and Henchman also go around with Stoneskin on, and I cannot describe how often that has saved my life.
 


Harm isn't broken...it works the same as in the core rules...lose all but 1d4 HP's...there is no Save only a SR to negate...Harm is a kick arse spell.

Harm ist broken even in the core rules. It's to strong without save!

yep - I just finished today with a cleric 13/ranger2 and the Barbarian Henchman. Both charatcers spent much of their time in stoneskin and improved invisibility. Fun game [but icewind dale was better].
