Well, that was fun

I'm reading about a half dozen DC New 52 titles (down from about 20 when it launched) on Comixology (the iPad app). Mainly Superman/Batman/Justice League related comics. I recently read the whole of The Boys (excellent series!) and a load of Invincible.

I just read GL20, the last issue written by the writer who has been incharge of everything Green Lantern for 9 years.

I cryed twice. Once when Sinestro told Hal "we will always be friends" and once when we found Hal's ending...

I just droped half my titles this last month or so. I no longer read storm watch or any superman title. I am hopeing X men do something diffrent, I am bearly holding on to it.

Artafacts (a witchblade/darkness title) is another awsome one...

Oh, and as a spur of the moment "just because" thing, my wife got me the first trade paperback of China Meiville's reboot of "Dial H for Hero". It was, back in its day, a pretty cheesetastic comic - there's this magical phone-dial, not attached to a phone, and if you dial H-E-R-O, you become a random superhero. Not a random DC hero, usually. But random like completely new and made up concept just for the comic. But there wasn't a whole lot of story to it, and many of the heroes were kind of goofy.

Meiville has decided to create a mythology for the dials, where they come from, and what they do, and why you get such goofy stuff, and what happens to people who use the dials, and repeatedly take on the psyche of another person like that. Kinda neat.

For the past few years...wow, I think its been 6 years...I've been following Marvel's entries into the Dark Tower saga. Lately I've grown tired of them. The initial draw was seeing what Farson was doing in the buildup to Gilead's fall. Otherwise, I'll stick with the stuff that we get straight from King. The first comics I ever read were the Hellboy graphic novels from Mignola. The Chained Coffin and Others was my first. That's a series I need to catch up with.

I like Scott Snyder's Batman, the new Swamp Thing and Animal Man (and Justice League Dark, Constantine, I Vampire). That's about it at the moment. I read everything Vertigo just because I've read everything Vertigo since its inception and I suppose I will continue to collect it until it dies or I die.
