Comprehensive Lava rules?

Also, lava is *not* fire. Therefore, fire resistance/X would have no benefit.

That argument is very weak, since Fire and Brimstone rules clearly state "If you fall into lava and you are immune to fire, you don’t die."

So if fire immunity prevents you from dying, I wold think fire resistance 50 would make you die less. Also, that rule is weak: if somebody with 1 hp left fell into lava, and was immune to fire, the falling damage couldn't kill him because the rule says "you don't die".

Weak, weak, weak :p

I'm surprised at the amount of work that apparently went into designing that PDF.
Given that it was put together by a bunch of drunks over mustard and bologna sandwiches, I guess the joke's on you.

I did notice one glaring omission. "Die" is insufficiently defined. This is originally a problem with the 3.x core rules, of course, but the concept of "dying" plays a huge role in the typical PC's interaction with lava. It should have been addressed in this supplement.
Good point.

What happens when a non-living character falls (or is pushed) into lava?
He dies. No save.
